This hostel was pretty good! Even without the full kitchen facilities you can make so many of your own meals. Friendly staff and many friendly people of different age groups! The beds are not too noisy and the bathrooms are good as well!! There is even a Christmas tree around this festive time of the year!

Big hotel converted into a hostel. Diverse guests of ALL ages.. Kitchen/common room seemed more of an after thought. Maybe 5-10 people using it on an average night I was there (100+ in the hostel total) Reliable and priced ok if you need a place.. if you're looking for a more youth hostel environment though, Vienna has better options (that... When I am in Vienna, I sleep during this time ONLY in Westend, the crew is very kindly, the prices are not expensive and the hotel is near train station, shopping street ( maria hilfer strasse), 2 subways ( U3 & U6), within 10 minutes I was in the city center, buy the way; in august I forgot my shampoo... A wonderful choice for my stay in Vienna. It was so conveniently located to anywhere I wanted to go, and I never once felt unsafe walking to/from by myself. The girls room & ensuite bathroom was clean. The staff was very friendly & helpful. Breakfast was simple. The common area was pleasant. If you're a lady traveler looking for a... More

We stayed 2 days in this hostel and I didn't really enjoy the experience. The location is great and the staff is nice but... The Wifi is only available in the common room downstairs where everyone goes since you can't connect in your own room. We had a 8-bed room and there is only one shower and one toilet...

My friends and I (5 total) stayed in the 8 bed room for two nights. We had our own bathroom. The room was cleaned everyday. There is no wifi in the rooms, only in the lobby and common area. There is no elevator, but that was not a problem for us. There is breakfast at the hotel for additional 4... More

The hostel is very nice and comfortable , its so close to the center just 10 min walking distance , the WIFI works perfectly in the lobby area but not in the rooms at all , beds are so comfortable and clean , they just need to pay extra attention at the bathrooms , staff were so helpful.

I stayed here for 4 nights on my first trip to Vienna. The location is very convenient being so close to westbanhoff. But the hostel itself was less than average. The common areas and bathrooms were quite dirty but the dorms and in room bathroom were very clean. Comfy bed and lockers! The sheets are an extra €5. There is... More

We loved staying in this hostel! The rooms are clean and provided lockers, there is a kitchen (only a microwave and toastie maker to cook food) the guys at reception was so friendly and helpful! The location is great, in the centre and only a ten minute walk from the train station. This hostel has everything you need and it... More

Staying in Mariahilf

Neighborhood Profile
Mariahilf
Vienna’s sixth district hosts high street shopping heaven and pedestrian area Mariahilfer Strasse. The weirdest local building is probably the city aquarium Haus des Meeres, housed in one of Vienna’s six remaining World War II defense towers, and topped with a rooftop bar that offers stunning views over Vienna and the center. One of the most historic sites in the area is the passageway of 18th century Raimundhof with its small shops and cafés. It leads from Mariahilfer Strasse to Windmühlgasse. For a glimpse into the world of early 19th century theater, visit Semperdepot, the former depository for theater decoration, which now hosts art exhibitions and fairs.
