We booked this hotel through a travel package, but based on the voucher I would say a good value for about 61 euros a night if I read that correctly. (without breakfast). It was half a block from bus line 48, 1.5 blocks to tram, and about 3.5 blocks to the metro stop Burghasse, which is mostly all we used.... More

Lovely family business hotel. We had two nice and clean rooms, for three and four, with AC. Owners/personel were very friendly and helpful. All were speaking english, some better than others. Breakfast was good and coffee/tea was served to table by the owners. Would say that as great service. Will be definetly one of our options on next visit to... More

The GPS had no trouble finding Halbgasse (literally half a lane) and the first pleasant surprise was plenty of available parking. The Hotel is in an office building with reception on the main floor and rooms 2-3 floors up the reliable, self operating lift. Not uncommon in Europe, but possibly odd for newcomers. The room was spacious with 2 large... More

Hotel with modest breakfast, boiled egg on request only. Parking @ hotel space cost you ?15/day, but Saturday 22h-Monday 9am is free at streets around the hotel. The reception won't tell you to earn extra ? from you. Swimming pool is available, but at the adjacent building and not comfortable. Room has good and free wifi, no AC, bed is... More

We stayed here for two nights in March 2013. The hotel is in a quite ugly building located about 1,5 km from the Ring: you can reach it either on foot or by tram/bus. Our room was clean and with enough space to put our luggage. The staff was kind and helpful. We were requested to pay by cash. Breakfast... More

Was booked in here by a company for two weeks, and the initial impression from outside is a little underwhelming. However, once inside, I really have nothing but positives to say about the place. Here are the boxes it ticked for me: Free internet access - this seems to be becoming the norm, but is always worth a mention. Good... More

We were three families who stayed twice in this hotel, for one night each time. First of all, I note that the hotel staff is very kind and always smiling and giving a good feeling. The rooms were spacious, well equipped and very clean with an excellent free WIFI connection. Breakfast was simple and delicious with excellent service. The hotel... More

This pension-hotel is within short walking distance of the main railway station of Vienna, and not too far to walk from the centre. There is cycle parking just outside the door. The rooms are comfortable and well equipped. Breakfast is simple and straightforward. The signal for the free access to wifi is strongest by the reception - a little weak... More

Good location and good fresh breakfast. The Staffs are helpful, Not really big hotel but already enough for short term stay. The room are tidy and neat, but free wifi signal for iphone/ipad in the room are quite weak, for laptop or android are good.

Staying in Neubau

Neighborhood Profile
Vienna’s art district, Neubau buzzes with galleries, arts and crafts, trendy restaurants, avant-garde shops, and cafés. Neubau’s Spittelberg quarter with cobblestoned Spittelberggasse and Gutenberggasse make for a perfect stroll alongside Biedermeier houses and art shops. Don’t miss the historic courtyard at Amerlinghaus with its typical Pawlatschen galleries, a perfect hangout on a warm summer evening. Museumsquartier is Neubau’s undisputed highlight: the former Imperial stables house various top museums of 19th to 21st century art. If you love interiors, head for the Imperial Furniture museum (Hofmobiliendepot), one of the world’s largest furniture collections. Find your favorites among a dazzling array of Baroque, Biedermeier, Art Nouveau and Modernist chairs, sofas, cupboards, coat hangers, foot stools and wash basins. No weekend visit would be complete without stopping by a local café on a weekend morning for brunch.
