We stayed here for a week before Christmas. The room was spacious and overlooking mariahilfer with the Christmas market in front of us. Underground is a one minute walk away and the staff at the hotel especially the guy at the reception is a plus to this hotel. I recommend staying here and would do so if I had to... More

This small hotel is part of a bigger building, so finding the reception desk initially is a bit of a maze. Once you understand the layout, the hotel is extremely functional. The rooms are a good size and the beds and pillows were to our liking. Breakfast was included and very good. The only thing we miss is a toaster.... More

The hotel is right on a main street which goes right up to the Ring, less than a 15 minute walk. The double room was big enough, and kept clean. Breakfast was ok, nothing hot, make a cold cut sandwich, cereals, fruit, yogurt, juices, bread, hard-boiled eggs, and coffee. When we first arrived, the clerk tried to get us to... More

The hotel pension continental is such a good option for your staying in Vienna. It's right on the corner of the Mariahilfer Straße, which is one of the Main shopping streets of the city. Besides its in front of a beautiful church which I don't remember the name and close to museumsquartier and other famous touristic points, where you can... More

We got upgraded to a flat from our booked double room as they had one spare which was great. This was actually in a separate residential block but wasn't a problem. Breakfast was tasty enough and the location couldn't be beaten. Would definitely stay again.

We stayed here for a short three night stay in September and were extremely happy with the property. It is slightly difficult to find, as it's best access is via a pedestrian only street, but worth the trouble. The location is excellent, within walking distance of all the main attractions. A subway station is only about a block down the... More

Hotel very comfortable, friendly staff, very close to Metro, but rooms are in different floors of a building. Rooms are comfortable. Breakfast is comfortable. Parking available at a charge, I will say this is a hotel that wins because of its location.

Right near a U-bahn, shops, bars, cafes and restaurants. English language cinema just around the corner. Rooms clean and comfortable, with aircon that worked. Breakfast ok, nothing fancy. Creaky elevator to the floors. Not a 4 star, and not quite a 3 star given lobby area (it is a hotel that occupies a couple of floors in a larger building)... More

We booked an apartment in this hotel, which according to its publications, is a 4 stars hotel. The apartment that we received was located in the next building and not in the hotel. The hotel itself is part of a building and the reception located in upper floor. The location of this hotel is very convenient, one minute from the... More

Staying in Neubau

Neighborhood Profile
Neubau
Vienna’s art district, Neubau buzzes with galleries, arts and crafts, trendy restaurants, avant-garde shops, and cafés. Neubau’s Spittelberg quarter with cobblestoned Spittelberggasse and Gutenberggasse make for a perfect stroll alongside Biedermeier houses and art shops. Don’t miss the historic courtyard at Amerlinghaus with its typical Pawlatschen galleries, a perfect hangout on a warm summer evening. Museumsquartier is Neubau’s undisputed highlight: the former Imperial stables house various top museums of 19th to 21st century art. If you love interiors, head for the Imperial Furniture museum (Hofmobiliendepot), one of the world’s largest furniture collections. Find your favorites among a dazzling array of Baroque, Biedermeier, Art Nouveau and Modernist chairs, sofas, cupboards, coat hangers, foot stools and wash basins. No weekend visit would be complete without stopping by a local café on a weekend morning for brunch.
