Rooms are small but clean. Also the TV is verry small. Good location. Only 10 minutes walk to City Hall. Good access to local transport lines. The staff is friendly and helpful. The hotel is placed to an intersection, one of the street having tram lines. If you do not want noise, ask to have room placed on front face... More

I stayed at the hotel for just one night during a business trip in Vienna. Surely there were lot of bad features: the room was very small, old and tight. Generally was clean but very few forniture: no trash basket, no fridge, no hairdryer. Also the light for the bed was unwired and broken. I think the price was too expansive... More

I stayed at this hotel several weeks ago. Unfortunately my room was below my expectation after reviewing other comments. TV was not working at all, as there were some problems with old plug-ins. The wallpapers and furniture look old and shabby. Also the smell in bathroom was not very nice. This hotel has great location, but it needs refreshment if... More

The location of Hotel Arpi is in a quiet and elegant neighbourhood of Vienna, three blocks behind the City Hall. The trams number 43 and 44, located just outside the hotel, will take you to the Votive Church and the University in 5 minutes. However, if considering taking the metro (stop Rathaus), one must take into account a 10 minutes... More

Room with simple equipment. Clean bathroom, towels and lining OK. WiFi working. Maybe the pillows & blankets could be thicker and trams under the window less noisy, but that's all I could complain about.

stayed here with my mum for 4 nights, location on quiet street, very close to all transport, great breakfast, excellent wifi and lobby computer. clean rooms and linen. Be prepared to check in no earlier than specified time but no problems there, just dump bags and go exploring, tram 5 or 33 will get you also to the door

Price/location = Very good indeed. We had a great time and very good service. Our room was clean and for the 3/5 star hotel, you can not complain on the standard given. Little to hard bed for my taste and the doors/rooms are not sound proof. Nothing to complain about if you look at the price.

We were here 2 night. The hotel rooms was small but clean and very conftable. The bathroom good. Good temperature and water pressure. The breakfast was nice all fresh... The men who attend the hostal was very nice. He gave me all indications to get the city center, the nearest laundry and so on.

Staying in Josefstadt

Neighborhood Profile
Josefstadt
The eighth district is an older generation’s Vienna at its finest: and this is what makes it popular with locals of all ages. Josefstadt has theater, small independent shops, romantic passageways, neighborhood cafés with regular clientele, church squares, town palaces and shady communal gardens. Trendy hangouts have conquered distinctive places such as the Old General Hospital (Altes AKH) and the vaults of overground U6. Theater in der Josefstadt on Josefstädter Strasse is the district’s cultural epicenter. Even if your German isn’t good enough to watch a play, you can marvel at the typical Biedermeier building and take a glimpse into the foyer. Lange Gasse houses an iconic local restaurant at its corner, as well as a legendary sweet shop and a bustling neighborhood market every Saturday. For small palace atmosphere and a different view on Vienna’s history, make your way to Schönborn garden palace (Palais Schönborn), which houses the Museum of Folk and Folk Art (Volkskundemuseum). Maria-Treu-Platz, with its summer outdoor cafés facing baroque church Maria Treu, and the historic passageway of Lerchenfelder Strasse 13 hide top spots for insiders.
