We booked this hotel on the basis of all the reviews on here and on the whole we enjoyed our stay from the very courteous welcome we had on arrival from the very friendly staff on reception. Our room overlooking the courtyard was very quiet ,clean and very spacious with everything we needed for our 5 day stay. The beds we're... More

We stayed for 3 nights at Das Capri, after completing a 400 km Danube cycling holiday. We wanted somewhere fairly central so we could get a taste of Vienna for a few days. Das Capri didn't disappoint. It's quite deceptive and nondescript from the outside, and Praterstrasse is a bit scruffy by Viennese standards. The interior, however, is light and... More

we booked 2 rooms at this property - staff ensure we were across the hall from each other (and actually at the end of the hallway so could block off both doors) all the rooms and hotel were very clean and had all the amenities breakfast was very well laid out (especially liked the specialty honeys provided) staff were nice... This hotel is excellent value in a great location ...two underground stops from the cathedral and a five minute walk from the Prater Amusement park. All the staff are really friendly and helpful. The breakfast is very good , served in a lovely couple of rooms

Very spacious Standard room, very comfy bed, well-appointed, spacious and modern bathroom with two sinks! The hotel staff were fantastic; friendly, welcoming, super helpful and genuinely cared about us and our experience. The breakfast was absolutely fabulous, with a wide variety of really delicious foods, all locally produced or home made. The boutique feel of the hotel, with its quirky... More

Often, when I like a hotel, I have a tough time deciding whether to give it a 4 or 5 star rating. In this case giving the hotel a 5 star rating was a no brainer. Specifically... Room: The room was clean and very well designed. The closets and bathroom are separated by a door, so you are less likely... More

We have just had a fabulous couple of nights here. The hotel (well, mainly Melanie) coped with us arriving on motorbikes, recommended an excellent Italian restaurant for our first night, provided superb air-conditioned rooms, wonderful breakfasts and further excellent recommendations for our second night. They even sent a bottle of wine to one of our party who had a birthday... More

Overall it is a good hotel. Well-situated near the center at 100m from a metro station. Our room was spacious, not facing the street and quiet. The breakfast was very good: some organic products, different type of local stuff ... The staff was also very friendly. The receptionist gave us a map and some indications to visit the city. My... Comfortable room with classical musical theme. Nice bathroom. Street-facing with balcony but very quiet. Very close to metro, easy access to city center. It wasn't on a beautiful street but the proximity to public transportation made up for that. Very good breakfast. Very pleasant and helpful staff. We got recommendations for coffeehouses and for heurigen in the Vienna Woods. Loved... More

Spotless, modern with fast unlimited Wi-Fi in all rooms. Good breakfast with an excellent coffee making machine. The staff were very helpful and efficient. The ice cream that was normally on sale in the foyer was given away free to guests because the the weather was so hot. - a lovely gesture.

Staying in Leopoldstadt

Neighborhood Profile
Leopoldstadt
Welcome to one of Vienna’s trendiest quarters. The second district has witnessed a turbulent ride, from medieval swamp to vibrant Jewish quarter, from pleasure ground for the noble and humble to current hip residence and workplace of Vienna’s creative crowd. Cross the Danube Canal from the city center and take in life on Taborstrasse with its mix of old townhouses, churches, theaters, discount shops and ethnic restaurants. Head for Augarten via Karmelitermarkt, Leopoldstadt’s trendy marketplace. Baroque Augarten itself hosts a bizarre mix of manicured hedges and flowerbeds in front of a colossal World War II defense tower, the publicly accessible 300-year-old Augarten porcelain manufactory, the palatial boarding school and funky concert hall of the Vienna Boys Choir, and the modern art museum TBA21. At its opposite corner, The Prater not only houses the Giant Ferris Wheel but blends a bustling amusement park with lush woodland, perfect for a bike tour. Further east is the old derby racing ground of Krieau.
