Perfect Location on the main walking street. Close to the metro Station Zierglergasse. Rooms clean but it will be cleaned few times in a week and also towels will be change not all the days. I got the room with the bathroom inside (most of the other have sharing bathroom). Internet wifi is very slow and during the night is... More

It was my wife birthday, so we took a 3 days trip in Vienna. Ideally placed in the city between the downtown and the Schönbrunn Palace. Peacefull place in an ancient residence with a very careful host

I stayed at Pension Hargita with a friend in October 2014. We were a little hesitatnt as we had read negative reviews about unhelpful staff and hot/stuffy rooms, but did not have any problems! We called last minute to begin our stay one night earlier, and they were able to accomodate us with a few hours notice, even though it... More

The four of us spent our New Year's holidays in Vienna, and I must say that staying at Hargita was one of the key factors that made our vacation extremely pleasant. We were completely satisfied with the accomodation; rooms were very clean and neat, with clean bathrooms, very well heated and equipped with super comfortable beds. Location is nothing short... This was our second stay at this hotel and we'd probably stay here again. The price and location are very good for Vienna however, it's not for those looking for luxurious accommodations. We stayed 4 nights this trip and opted for the week-long U-Bahn pass. From this location we easily traveled all over the city. We opted for the 4... More

I have stayed at Pension Hargita TWICE, in January 2007 and in March 2013. Both times, I was impressed by its quiet location, friendly staff, comfort, and of course, only 50 meters from the subway. The price is fair (i have traveled both alone and with a group!) and they handled both occasions well. Only a few metro stops from... More

Hargita is a short walk from westbahnhof and thus the airport bus. It is in a side road off a main shopping street and opposite an underground station. It is a short walk from the museum quarter and then into the very centre and landmarks. It is a quiet, clean and simple place with lovely staff and breakfast. Real homely.... More

Erika and her husband provided us such a good time while in Vienna! My husband and I met up with a friend and stayed in a triple occupancy room during our stay in Vienna. The rooms are tidy, ours had a shower in it (with superb water pressure) and everything was in good working order. Contact the pension directly for... More

I made reservations via email with the owner after reading about the hotel in the guide book. The owner was super nice and accommodating. We reserved the room with my credit card, but paid in cash. He even helped arrange us a 30 EUR car pick-up from the airport when I emailed him last-minute. The hotel is in a great... More

The family that runs Pension Hargita speaks great English and hosted us for three nights. We rented 3 double rooms and were in our own apartment on the third elevator- no stairs. Each room had it's own lock and the main apartment door had its own lock. This place is not fancy, but it is safe, clean, well maintained, great... More

Staying in Neubau

Neighborhood Profile
Vienna’s art district, Neubau buzzes with galleries, arts and crafts, trendy restaurants, avant-garde shops, and cafés. Neubau’s Spittelberg quarter with cobblestoned Spittelberggasse and Gutenberggasse make for a perfect stroll alongside Biedermeier houses and art shops. Don’t miss the historic courtyard at Amerlinghaus with its typical Pawlatschen galleries, a perfect hangout on a warm summer evening. Museumsquartier is Neubau’s undisputed highlight: the former Imperial stables house various top museums of 19th to 21st century art. If you love interiors, head for the Imperial Furniture museum (Hofmobiliendepot), one of the world’s largest furniture collections. Find your favorites among a dazzling array of Baroque, Biedermeier, Art Nouveau and Modernist chairs, sofas, cupboards, coat hangers, foot stools and wash basins. No weekend visit would be complete without stopping by a local café on a weekend morning for brunch.
