The neighborhood is pleasant. It is minutes from Mariahilferstrasse with shops and restaurants, metro and tram station are nearby. Very nice and helpful staff, good breakfast, parking inside the yard. A little bit an old accommodation.

I chose Pension Pharmador primarily for its location - within easy walking distance from Westbahnhof, as well as Stadthalle (for music events). It takes only about 10 minutes to/from each destination. Plus, it is just as close to Mariahilfer Strasse with lots of shopping and access to the subway system. I travelled with my mother and a friend, we had... More

We stayed as two couples on a 4 night long weekend. Super location.Just walk down to the U bahn on Mariehilfenstrasse.( Zieglergasse). Such pleasant people in reception. and clean sparkling rooms.Breakfasts should make most people very full and comfortable until the main meal of the day. We enjoyed the muesli and fruit , folllowed by boiled egg with tasty bread... More

I must say the most convenient thing about the place is free parking especially if you are traveling with a car since in most of the places you should pay around 20 euro per day for parking. There is nothing luxury about rooms but its clean and have all you need. The location is 5 min walking to the main... More

Location: walking distance to the center, it has its own free parking area, with security, which is perfect if you travel by car, as there are no free parking places in Vienna. The building is old and has a good vibe, the receptionists are always smiling and very friendly, ready to help you and give directions. Breakfast: quite rich for... More

Simple clean room, two twins pushed together, parking lot view, a shower, reliable and fast wi-fi, decent breakfast, there was tv but we never turned it on. Close to Zieglergasse metro station, 10-15minutes ride to the centre. Included parking, cars are double parked and you ahve to leave your key with the front desk in case they need to move... More

My boyfriend and I enjoyed the pension during our stay. The staff is very friendly, and are multilingual. Breakfast is off the main lobby, and is a small buffet with local options. The location is close to transportation and many restaurants. It's an older building, so keep in mind that the walls aren't thick and that the other guests are... More

Staying in Neubau

Neighborhood Profile
Neubau
Vienna’s art district, Neubau buzzes with galleries, arts and crafts, trendy restaurants, avant-garde shops, and cafés. Neubau’s Spittelberg quarter with cobblestoned Spittelberggasse and Gutenberggasse make for a perfect stroll alongside Biedermeier houses and art shops. Don’t miss the historic courtyard at Amerlinghaus with its typical Pawlatschen galleries, a perfect hangout on a warm summer evening. Museumsquartier is Neubau’s undisputed highlight: the former Imperial stables house various top museums of 19th to 21st century art. If you love interiors, head for the Imperial Furniture museum (Hofmobiliendepot), one of the world’s largest furniture collections. Find your favorites among a dazzling array of Baroque, Biedermeier, Art Nouveau and Modernist chairs, sofas, cupboards, coat hangers, foot stools and wash basins. No weekend visit would be complete without stopping by a local café on a weekend morning for brunch.
