The hotel is about 3 blocks away from a U stop and the area is decent. However - it is not really the best area and at the prices this hotel charges you can do better. I got an amazing deal on Expedia and was still disappointed. This is NOT a 4 star business hotel, which they claim to be.... more

A nicely arranged hotel; great breakfast. But nothing particularly special about it. Pros: reasonable price for value, good location (close to Ubahn). Cons: Thin towels and no toiletries (only a soap/shampoo dispenser). more

After a warm welcome and really friendly staff at the reception, the first thing that ruins the impression is smelly corridors. We were at the third floor and as soon as we got out of the elevator, we felt stuffy air smelling like a diaper depot (ok, maybe a bit exaggerated, but definitely not smelling like a clean hotel). And... more

We stayed at the hotel this August for 2 days. This was a great hotel experience, everything was perfect: Big, really well decorated room, all anmenities like shower gel, hair dryer and small chocolate included. The breakfast buffet was great, dreams came true. There's also the opportunity to use the internet in the hotel lobby for free. I can really... more

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel and found it much better than some other reviews suggested. The location is near the city centre (which is very easily reached by the excellent public transport system) but was nice and quiet with excellent local cafes and small shops. The hotelstaff spoke excellent english and were very helpful and welcoming especially... more

As part of a party, my wife and I stayed at the Falkensteiner for eight nights during the final stages of the Euro 2008 competition. The hotel had been booked by one of our party, and, having read some of the negative reviews, we were a bit concerned about what we would find. To our great surprise, despite the hotel... more

Finding a hotel in Vienna proved to be difficult, as those that are centrally located are so expensive. Being somewhat restricted, we opted for the Falkensteiner Palace, but having stayed there I don't think I would have minded stretching the budget for something better. Our room was quite small, and the bathroom door, which was right next to my sister's... more

If you're looking for an international hotel that caters to a wide range of people, this hotel is not for you. No internet access in the rooms, just one computer next to the registration desk on the first floor where there is a line of people waiting to use it. Only two elevators service the entire hotel, and one of... more

I was really disappointed with my stay. The main problem was that due to wanting a non-smoking room I was put up in one of the "attic" rooms and like a lot of attics, it was blazing hot. Also, due to unfortunate placing of window treatment hardware, you could barely crack the window. It would be nice and cool outside... more
