A great hotel, and a great staff. The Domizil is located downtown near Stephensplatz and the Mozarthaus. The U-bahn stop was right down the street, and services both the 1 and 3 lines, which gets you to/from either the Hauptbahnhof or Westbahnhof, not to mention the opera house and palaces. Though only a block or so off the main tourist... More

Hotel is in the center of old city so close to all location. It's an old building but all staffs in room are new and clean. Room was seperated to next room by a inside room door therefore you can hear all voices from other room, it's disturbing. Also hotel has no parking area, a vale comes and takes your... More

Great location, in the shadows of the Stephansdom, as well as very close to good shopping and restaurants. Great, friendly staff, nice size rooms and huge bathrooms. Clean and comfortable, good breakfast and fast wifi. Would stay here again.

This hotel is well-located just behind the Dom and so is close to the subway, shopping precinct and restaurants. The rooms - not pokey but not large either - were simply but comfortably furnished and spotlessly clean. And unlike many European hotels there were many shelves and hooks to put things on, even in the bathroom, which was also if... More

The hotel is very close to the subway station and walking distance to restaurants and St.Stephen's Cathedral. The breakfast is really good and the receptionist is very helpful. The internet in the room is slow though. Overall, good price for a nice hotel.

Last week whilst on a cycling holiday I had a bad accident and had to find emergency accommodation in Vienna. This turned out to be Pension Domizil. All I can say is that we could not have been anywhere better. The staff were amazing, so very kind, nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was just perfect, the rooms very... More

Stayed here with my girlfriend. Nice rooms although old. The hotel isn't cheap but for its location is very nice. The staff is friendly and you can stay here for a city sightseeing place. Is very practical for that. The breakfast isn't the best but had enough. Take some sweets from the entrance, they are great!

Stayed at this great hotel for one week in July and couldn't fault it. Very central location, large spotless bedroom and bathroom with power shower. Shower gel, body lotion, tissues etc all provided, even down to a shoe cleaning and sewing kit. Fantastic spread at breakfast served by very friendly staff who all speak perfect English. Very quiet apart from... More

Everything about our two-night stay at Domizil was wonderful -- a delightful charming room, outstanding staff, spotless bathrooms, quiet, a huge breakfast spread, and just a block from Stephansdom and walking distance of all of old Vienna. (and the subway system) The desk folks and breakfast crew could not have been nicer or more helpful! There were special little touches... More

Staying in Inner City

Neighborhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the center. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
