The location of this hotel is perfect, within easy walking distance of the centre. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the rooms were comfortable and clean. Breakfast was very good with a nice choice and even some frizantte if you fancied a morning tipple. We stayed on the fourth floor and our rooms looked out onto apartments opposite... More

The location is perfect, rooms are bit old fashioned, but you are there not to live - but to enjoy most beautiful city in the world ! Breakfast is OK, but not so good if you are vegetarian, but we are used to that I guess...

If you want to be in a great location without spending too much money, this is the hotel for you. Right around the corner is St Stephan Cathedral and the Stephansplatz U-bahn station giving easy access to the central railway and airport express train, as well as other parts of the city. The service we experienced here was excellent, with... More

We can't recommend this very centrally located (two blocks from Stephanplatz) highly enough. As the title says, not super fancy but everything you need and very accommodating. Stretched our reservations two more nights after we made a booking mistake. Very clean, comfortable. Won't kill your budget either.

Location: Right in the middle of everything, you can anywhere from here. Its about one minute walk from Stephansplatz and Kartner street (which is the best shopping street). The hotel is about 25 min from Schwechat airport by taxi and I preordered vienna-airport-cab.at which only cost me 27 euros plus tip. The hotel itself is older, but the room was... More

Spent 2 nights here with my wife and grown up daughters. Came from Budapest where we stayed in the K&K Opera. This hotel was the oposite of that one being full of character and somewhat dated but in a good way. The rooms we had were quite small but fine and had chandeliers for lighting. The view was on to... It was really close to St. Stephens Church and the city centre, which made it very convenient to walk everywhere. The hotel room was clean and a good size and the bathroom was a good size as well. It was very basic looking in the room and could use updates. The breakfast was good. The lobby is really small and... More

Very disappointed with standards of accommodation at the hotel, although a friendly staff. The central location is the only plus, but that is not enough to make me stay again. This is a very tired, run down hotel. With a beautiful misleading façade/exterior and a disappointing decaying interior, made of cheap, old-fashioned, dated and poor quality furniture and fixtures. The... More

Staying in Inner City

Neighborhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the center. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
