We stayed six nights in this suite hotel. Upon check-in, we immediately knew that the room was entirely too hot to remain at the property. I attempted to change locations to the other Novotel property in Vienna and/or acquire a fan for the room, but the desk clerk said there was no air conditioning at the sister property and there... The room with a double bed and two extrabeds is spacious enough for a family. There's a table and a kitchenette with small sink, microwave, water cooker and fridge. Closeby there are supermarkets and small shops that are also open Sundays. More tea available in reception for free. The bathroom-toilet is made of plastic in one piece. It's the type... More

I stayed at both Novotels during my travels. The first one was close to work. This one has family rooms for when my family arrived. We really enjoyed it. The room was spacious and comfortable. It faced a courtyard. In the mornings, we heard birds. In the evenings, we had a cool breeze. The location despite not being in the... More

Stayed at this hotel on 2 different occasions. One the first occasion, the air conditioning in the room did not work. We had to keep the window open as the room was too hot. The hotel is really close to U train station Vorgartenstrasse. The rooms we stayed were spacious and good enough for 3 of us. The front desk... More

I was skeptical at first on reading about Suite Novotel as a budget Hotel. However, from the moment the taxi dropped me off at the entrance and picked me up to drop me off at the Vienna Airport 16 days later, the experience was nothing but amazing. Having stayed in Hotels the world over and being of Asian descent, I've... More

Stayed there for 2 nights in May 2015,,,,had a terrible time -as it was so hot and they didn't even switch in the AC even after repeated requests ,,,what so sort of hotel makes the customers so uncomfortable to stay,,,,we are forced to open our windows and sleep,,,to our bad luck it was a Friday and people were partying near... We stayed at the Suite Hotel with four children and four adults. The accommodation was modern and very groovy. The location was outstanding as you could walk to the Danube or catch a train to the city centre and St Stephens Cathedral. We even cut our time shirt in Budapest and came back to spend an extra night.

Pros: breakfast was decent, however cereal milk is left out without being iced down or anything so your cereal will have hot milk. Room was always clean when we came back from the day. Close to underground rail. Room was spacious. Room windows had dark shades. Room had microwave, mini fridge, and wet bar. Tub & shower were in separate... More

Dear guests! Thank you for your feedback. For us your review very important. But I want to make something right. Each rooms has a window to open. Only the large window in the room has a safety lock. Currently we have 15 degrees in Vienna and we have to heat for our guests. When I turn on the air conditioning... More

I'm currently staying here with my family and management refuses to turn on the air conditioner despite their website advertising they turn it on in May. The windows have to stay locked for security purposes and there is not a fan. It's at least 85 degrees Fahrenheit in the room making it very difficult to sleep at night. I'm extremely... More

Dear guests! Thank you for your review. In the transitional period, it is always difficult. We currently have 15 to 25 degrees outside in Vienna. In the night 13-15 degrees. When we turn on the air conditioning, we dont have a heating in our hotel. Tomorrow's weather forecast is very bad and we probably need to heat. But you have... More

Excellent choice for a few days of strolling in historic Vienna. The hotel is literally located 50 meters from Vorgartenstrasse U-bahn station which connects you directly to everything you need to see in the city. Rooms are great, WiFi is strong and reliable, breakfast is very good, although it can get a bit crowded around 8am. Also important for thrill... More

Staying in Leopoldstadt

Neighborhood Profile
Leopoldstadt
Welcome to one of Vienna’s trendiest quarters. The second district has witnessed a turbulent ride, from medieval swamp to vibrant Jewish quarter, from pleasure ground for the noble and humble to current hip residence and workplace of Vienna’s creative crowd. Cross the Danube Canal from the city center and take in life on Taborstrasse with its mix of old townhouses, churches, theaters, discount shops and ethnic restaurants. Head for Augarten via Karmelitermarkt, Leopoldstadt’s trendy marketplace. Baroque Augarten itself hosts a bizarre mix of manicured hedges and flowerbeds in front of a colossal World War II defense tower, the publicly accessible 300-year-old Augarten porcelain manufactory, the palatial boarding school and funky concert hall of the Vienna Boys Choir, and the modern art museum TBA21. At its opposite corner, The Prater not only houses the Giant Ferris Wheel but blends a bustling amusement park with lush woodland, perfect for a bike tour. Further east is the old derby racing ground of Krieau.
