This hotel is clean, value for money, super location. It is walking distance to the tram, UBahn, grocery store, Town Hall, gardens and other useful amenities. Free tea and coffee facilities in the lobby and free wi-fi too.

My partner booked this hotel for location and it is the only good thing they have. Rooms are small with old beds (very unconfortable). A bed for two is the result of two beds together with a very annoying gap in between. Breakfast is ok but they should get rid of the carpet... It is not so higienic! We stayed... More

Nice hotel. Don't expect something fancy. It had a small old elevator and the decoration was kinda 90's three star hotel. Breakfast was good. Rooms were too small though. All and all, good price-quality relation. Staff was really friendly

A short walk to Vienna's main attractions, Hotel Alpha is a perfect choice. Modern, upto Austrian standards, great value for money. The staff was great, really helpful as we had a health problem with our four year old daughter and they did everything to help us, called a night cab and directed us to the emergency children hospital. Absolutely recommend... More

This hotel may not be most stylish place, but it is in a nice quiet location and in close proximity to the main attractions around Rathaus and Volkstheater. The room was clean and the hotel is efficiently run. At the price I paid, I would be very happy to stay here again. Everything was good enough...if you want luxury then... More

The hotel is situated on a calm street behind the Rathaus, you don't hear any noise of the city and it is close to the metro station. You can have a nice large breakfast. But we were given two increadibly small rooms on the first floor. You could not move there if you were two people in the room.

I just spent three nights at Hotel Alpha and I get exactly what I expected after reading the many reviews on this web site. Very friendly attendants and kitchen staff; in fact I asked my room to be changed and it was no problem at all, the receptionist was very kind. It is a very calm hotel, well situated near... More

The Hotel is conveniently located and is a walking distance from the Underground train as well as tram system. It is also a walking distance from the city centre and from major tourist destinations. The staff is very polite and service is excellent.

This was our first time to stay in this area of Vienna. The hotel is located behind the Rathaus about 2 blocks away from the U2 metro stop and the #2 tram, that means easy access to all of the city. It takes about 15 to 20 minutes to walk from the hotel to Stephansplatz-- through the Rathaus gardens, in... More

Dear Guest, Thank you so much for your detailed comment. I have loved to read it. May we suggest to visit our Café GERSTNER on Kaertner Strasse as well. I am sure you will take delight in the confectionary there - instead of Demel - next time. Again, thank you so much and best regards from Vienna, Ulrike Regenfelder-Gassner, Manager More

As mentioned before the location is perfect. Especially when visiting the Rathaus Christmas Market. Underground (U2) and tram (2) stops very near. Breakfast was good and it varied a bit every morning; sausages, eggs, bread, ham and so on. Very good. Free coffee and fruits at the lobby. Wifi worked ok in the room with the codes from the reception.... More
