The location is fantastic, there was a music/movie festival very near while we were there. The room is small but cosy, there was just one thing there was hair in our sheets. we loved vienna ,clean, safe and easy to get around ,and so many places to see. alpha was clean,we had a triple so it did get a bit tight at times,comfy beds , bathrooms renovated and clean spacious shower, great breakfast with lots too choose from.staff were always helpful and the location was a short walk to most attractions .underground... more

This has been one of the best hotels I have ever had the pleasure of staying in. The location is excellent, round the corner from the Rathaus, and the transport system in Vienna is excellent. The staff were very friendly, particular one lady who worked behind the reception on a regular basis, who was superb at her job, very helpful... more

Hotel Alpha is very nice and clean hotel. It is not a luxury, but we have nothing to complain with. Breakfast is also very good. The Alpha is a fine place to use as a base of operations in Vienna. It's in Josefstadt, very residential, but very close to public transport (tram, U-Bahn, buses)—so all is walkable, whether to the post office up the street, to a BILLA (supermarket) nearby, or to the wonderful Piaristenkirche church/cloister (where Bruckner first apprenticed) near the cafe and restaurants... more

We had room 401 which was very nice, facing the street, nice modern furniture. Breakfast was good – variety and abundant. The location was ok, about 4 blocks from the metro station, but not close to the city center. We felt very safe walking at night. It is also about 15-20 minute walk to the main center. more

Very good value. I paid 70 euro and was very happy with this hotel. Very clean rooms and ultra clean bathroom. Nikje on the desk was delightful. Location is handy to the tram line, street is quiet. Breakfast plenttiful. Very happy. more

A super experience - nicely re-furbished room, charming and helpful staff, excellent location within 3 or 4 minutes of a good tram line and the Rathaus (town hall!) metro. Very good buffet breakfast, and super-generous time-span - 6.30 - 10.30. The lift is not quite as smart as most of the hotel at the moment, but works fine. Wireless internet... more

Solid little hotel with good desk staff. The rooms are VERY small but adequate. Was OK if you got their early, but they tended to run out of the hot foods and it did not appear they were restocked after they were gone.
