Booked over the internet and paid the deposit, we were a bit concerned if it would all work out. From the outset the service was professional and our apartment, Nestroy, situated on Praterstrasse, was clean and exactly as advertised. The lady who checked us in was on-time and the entire process was clear and precise. Thank you for this lovely... More

We stayed in the Apartment located near the Prater train station a week just before Christmas. It was a beautiful vacation. The apartment is very confortable, clean, warm and well equipped with everything you may need. Its 100 meters from the metro & train stations so in 10 minutes you reach the center of the city. Only problem maybe traffic... More

The apartment is in the heart of Vienna with two train stations within 5 minutes walk. A number of restaurants and convinience stores are just outside the apartment. This includes a grocery shop (Billa) which remains open till 9 pm. We were a family with 2 kids under the age 5. We did not have a car and stayed for... More

Great apartment! I recommend the place, it is close to tube (metro) station, so access to any site in the city is easy. Any guest will find the place cosy and confortable. Free internet so you can stay connected with the 'world'. Parking, the main problem in major cities, is not a big issue, since you can leave your car... More

Staying in Leopoldstadt

Neighborhood Profile
Leopoldstadt
Welcome to one of Vienna’s trendiest quarters. The second district has witnessed a turbulent ride, from medieval swamp to vibrant Jewish quarter, from pleasure ground for the noble and humble to current hip residence and workplace of Vienna’s creative crowd. Cross the Danube Canal from the city center and take in life on Taborstrasse with its mix of old townhouses, churches, theaters, discount shops and ethnic restaurants. Head for Augarten via Karmelitermarkt, Leopoldstadt’s trendy marketplace. Baroque Augarten itself hosts a bizarre mix of manicured hedges and flowerbeds in front of a colossal World War II defense tower, the publicly accessible 300-year-old Augarten porcelain manufactory, the palatial boarding school and funky concert hall of the Vienna Boys Choir, and the modern art museum TBA21. At its opposite corner, The Prater not only houses the Giant Ferris Wheel but blends a bustling amusement park with lush woodland, perfect for a bike tour. Further east is the old derby racing ground of Krieau.
