After reading some mixed reviews we decided to take our chances and try out this hotel. We really enjoyed our stay, but there is some room for improvement. During booking we mentioned we'd be arriving early, asking to keep our luggage so we could check in later. When we were greated though, we were bluntly told we could not yet... More

We chose the hotel for its location and design room decor. Also the breakfast (included in price) left little to wish for. Of course, the building is old and in some places some maintenance is needed, don't expect a flat screen TV in your rooms. But there is everything one might need and the design rooms are truly interesting (Bauern... More

Stayed in room 4 for 4 nights. Good room size and spacious shower. Quirky hotel. Short walk to tram stops. Line 2 for historic centre of Vienna and line 0 for CAT train to and from airport. Good variety of food available for breakfast but typically European in style. Bring your own kettle if you want tea/coffee in room. Take... More

We stayed here for 3 nights and received the Renaissance themed room (room 29). The room was spacious but the trundle bed was atrocious ... It was so hard that one of us had to sleep on the couch each night as that was a better option! The bathroom layout was bad and awkward to move around in. The shower... More

Don't get me wrong.. this place is an ok place to stay... but, the staff and owner are a bit strange and the owner especially will rip you off in a heart beat. We had a feature room, though quite what the feature was, I have no idea ! It had some old furniture in it, some weird feathers hanging... More

Be prepared for a bizarre stay that cannot be accurately experienced until you are there. It is more of Las Vegas theme hotel rather than for seasoned travelers. We were very disappointed in the comfort provided. The hotel was flamboyant. The hotel is very old and needs renovation. Our shower flooded into the carpeted room! We were not very comfortable... We enjoyed the easy access to places and train station. We had a nice size room, high ceiling, and had the Egyptian design (Room 9). Everything was super clean. For the price we paid and considering Vienna, we were satisfied with what we got. Breakfast was a delight and was more than adequate! It was a nice spread of meats,... More

If you wanna surprise your girl with the penthouse suite, ask for room 33 and you'll end up shooting stars and over the moon! Good value, good bfast. The old guy (I think owner) was a little chippy and smokes at reception (but everyone does in vienna... very 1970's!) but the other staff were cool and location is fine (10... More

We stayed here for two nights. Each room is decorated differently and uniquely. We loved the location and were able to walk downtown easily with two children. The breakfast was very good, with lots of options. Even though I liked the rooms, because of the interesting deco, and found the staff pleasant, the odour of cigarette smoke was too much.... More

My friend and i were very excited for having booked a design room in this hotel. Unfortunately as soon as we entered in the room we found out it was just a standard room. You could tell by the old furniture, the paper on the walls and the size of the room (it was suppoed to be 35 m2). I... More
