My grandmother, my mother and myself stayed at Pension Sacher for two weeks during December. It was our first time in Vienna and we couldn't have picked anywhere better to stay! The location was very central with easy access to anywhere we wished to go. The rooms are extremely well kept with nice decor. Most importantly the two brothers who... More

We stayed 3 nights at this pension in December and loved it! It is at the heart of Vienna, convenient for walking anywhere in the old town. The Sacher brothers were the most friendly hosts. We could not ask for more. The apartment has everything we needed for our stay, including a fully equipped kitchenette and a washer. It was... More

What a great experience staying at Pension Sacher! My husband and I were travelling with our 20 month old boy and they did everything they could to make our stay effortless. The put a beautifully made up crib in the room and a box of toys for our little one, which he loved! The small kitchen was invaluable for prepping... More

Wonderful hosts. Beautiful accommodations, in the heart of the tourist section. Our first visit was in 2012 for four nights. This year we doubled that and still were not home sick. We'll go back again soon, since it is now so much closer to home.

Stayed in apartment 5 for 3 nights in September this year. The view is incredible and the furnishings lovely. The kitchen is great and really useful for having drinks and snacks while people watching from the apartment before dinner. The owners were lovely and very welcoming and the wifi was free and fast. The only downside was that the apartment... More

We had a room with two beds in one room, a separate kitchen area, with a diagonal view of St. Stephansplatz. You cannot get a more central location. It's a 1.5 block walk to the metro. We were expecting two beds, but it's really one bed frame with two mattresses next to each other. For us two female friends traveling... More

Have just returned from my fourth visit to Vienna and these apartments. Once again, I can't thank Herr Sacher enough for his kindness, help, and general consideration. We felt like we were visiting friends and nothing was too much trouble. The charger for my tablet 'died' on the second day and Herr Sacher provided me with a replacement to use... More

This is a very convenient place to stay in Vienna and good value. We had a lovely view of St Stephen's from our apartment (number 3). The rooms are furnished in a charming old style. The staff are very friendly. No noise issues despite overlooking the square.

I cannot speak more highly of the fantastic customer service received, location and comfort of this wonderful apartment in central Vienna. Located in Stephansplatz opposite the cathedral and a few meters from the train, it is a superb location to stay to visit Vienna and surrounds. The apartment has everything you need for comfort and the old fashioned customer service... More

I would really like to be able to review this property separately - 5 stars for service and location. Vienna is set up rather like a bull's eye with Stephansplatz being dead center and this was a stone's throw from it. A metro station is a few steps away and the view of the catherdral is beyond wonderful. Many sights... More

Staying in Inner City

Neighborhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the center. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
