I cannot speak more highly of the fantastic customer service received, location and comfort of this wonderful apartment in central Vienna. Located in Stephansplatz opposite the cathedral and a few meters from the train, it is a superb location to stay to visit Vienna and surrounds. The apartment has everything you need for comfort and the old fashioned customer service... More

I would really like to be able to review this property separately - 5 stars for service and location. Vienna is set up rather like a bull's eye with Stephansplatz being dead center and this was a stone's throw from it. A metro station is a few steps away and the view of the catherdral is beyond wonderful. Many sights... More

I stayed here for five nights in May 2015. It was my second visit. As before, the service provided by brothers Inigo and Dominik and their mother, Claudia, was excellent. The booking process was very smooth. The premises are not attended 24/7, so you need to advise of your likely arrival time. If it's out of normal hours, they arrange... More

This is by far the first and foremost accommodation choice in central Vienna. Not only does it enjoy prime location right by Stephan's cathedral at a reasonable price compared to nearby hotels, but is also operated by two graceful brothers, descendants of the famous Sacher lineage. We had apartment No.2 overlooking a side street with an approximate size of 33... More

We were very pleased with the service given by the Sacher brothers, during the seven nights that we stayed there while attending a conference in Vienna. The nearby subway has very good connections to the Austria Center Vienna where the conference was held. There are three grocery stores where we shopped for food. These were the Billa that was perfectly... More

As all the reviews indicate, this is a superb pension that could not be bettered- location, full kitchen, and superb views of the cathedral. But what was special was the friendliness and helpfulness of our host, Inigo Sacher, who was on the premises in the mornings. Nothing was too much to ask. We especially appreciated the assistance with a special... More

Pension Sacher is our dream property in Vienna! This small pension (not a bed and breakfast) is located overlooking the Stephen's Cathedral in the heart of pedestrian Vienna. Our apartment there had wonderful space - you entered into a large well fitted kitchen area with the bathroom off to one side. Then you proceeded into the living room and finally... More

Our May visit to Vienna was really nice and our lodgings at Pension Sacher were a big part of making it nice. The location just can't be beaten--right on Stephansplatz, in the heart of old Vienna, in convenient walking distance to everything! The pension consists of entirely apartments on the 7th floor of a building right across from St. Stephan's... More

My family and I stayed at Pension Sacher for 4 nights, and we didn't want to leave this wonder apartment. We booked the biggest two bedroom apartment, and the place let us feel just like home. Plenty of spaces with huge balcony, kitchen and a small storage/cloakroom. The owner is very nice he helped us out to bring all our... More

I almost let anyone in about this place; it's that good. If you want an amazing apartment with an unbeatable view in probably the best location in Vienna, this is the place. We had a beautiful two bedroom apartment with an incredible view of St. Stephen's. The building is convenient to everywhere, including the underground, and the management is first... More

Staying in Inner City

Neighborhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the center. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
