This place is really creepy. When you walk in no one is around and the place is really dark. It took us forever to find the lobby, since it was on the second floor. The owner of the place seems nice at first, but when we wanted to change hotels he wouldn't let us. Then he got all upset, because... More

First, i was almost shocked about the location. The hotel is located in a part of an old an typical building. It's on a side of the University of Wien, on a silent street. You have to pay attention at the sign placed at the entrance of the building and you have to ring at the door if you reach... More

I've been to Vienna countless times. It is one of my favorite cities in the world. I wasn't planning to visit this time, but on a motorcycle trip one of the riders had a breakdown and we needed a nearby city. Peak season in Vienna, we found this place online. It's on a quiet street, but only a ten minute... More

this is an unusually reliable, generous, quiet, austere yet comfortable and well appointed B&B; if you really want to be in the old Viennese University ambience, this is where to stay. Very straightforward, spectacular architecture: 1880s building with all the original fixtures, fine tile and marble throughout the building. Simple, clean and modest room fixtures and setting, with all the... More

All the places to visit are at a walking distance. The hotel staff is very accommodating, they allowed early check-in and also breakfast for that day. The room had nice lighting and was very spacious.

we picked this hotel because of how close it is to the Christmas Market at the Rathaus. It was also very reasonably priced and included breakfast. The hotel is not new, or a chain, but very suitable for a city trip. The hotel offers a discount for the closest underground parking garage (about 2 blocks away). Normally the parking is... More

The hotel is very cozy and home like. The staff is extremely helpful. We needed payment confirmation before arriving, the quality of correspondence with the hotel was one of the best I experienced! The rooms are large and clean. The window view is so-so, but who needs to look from the window when you can just go out and find... More

the hotel is located in an historic building very close to the center ( trams and subway are close by). The rooms have everything you need, nothing fancy but comfortable, new bathrooms, very good wifi connection , extremely clean. Breakfast is not what you have in a 5 stars hotel ( but the price is NOT what you pay in... More

Room average, breakfast average, service excellent. Room left a lot to be desired. Location by university, but parking hard to find. Would not stay there again probably. Needed to have taxi to go to most places.

Staying in Inner City

Neighborhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the center. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
