we picked this hotel because of how close it is to the Christmas Market at the Rathaus. It was also very reasonably priced and included breakfast. The hotel is not new, or a chain, but very suitable for a city trip. The hotel offers a discount for the closest underground parking garage (about 2 blocks away). Normally the parking is... More

The hotel is very cozy and home like. The staff is extremely helpful. We needed payment confirmation before arriving, the quality of correspondence with the hotel was one of the best I experienced! The rooms are large and clean. The window view is so-so, but who needs to look from the window when you can just go out and find... More

the hotel is located in an historic building very close to the center ( trams and subway are close by). The rooms have everything you need, nothing fancy but comfortable, new bathrooms, very good wifi connection , extremely clean. Breakfast is not what you have in a 5 stars hotel ( but the price is NOT what you pay in... More

Room average, breakfast average, service excellent. Room left a lot to be desired. Location by university, but parking hard to find. Would not stay there again probably. Needed to have taxi to go to most places.

Within a few minutes you can walk from this hotel to most of the attractions in town. And it is 2 blocks away from subway and tram connections to take you to other attractions or to airport. It is in an old building with an old elevator. Of the two rooms we saw, one was nice ,one was VERY nice.... More

Good location near Rathaus. We had a family vacation and the kids enjoyed the spacious room and free WiFi. The service is good, the rooms are clean, nice breakfast and good hospitality. Very good value for money.

I stayed here when I had to make rushed plans when travelling to Vienna. For a pension, it is.exactly what one pays for. It is neither too fancy or too shabby. It is just right. The room that I had stayed in was clean albeit small. The bathroom was clean and modern. It was a little hard to find. As... More

Was shocked going in at first, its kind of a building within a building. The place smelled old and dusty and the elevator looked run-down. However the room is comfortable and spacious and the location is not bad- within walking distance of the city center.

We were a group of 6 (rented 3 rooms), staying at the Pension for 4 nights. The location is very convenient for access to the metro, around the corner from the University, and steps away from City Hall Square. All the rooms were air-conditioned, which was a HUGE plus, as the temps were in the high 80s during our stay.... More

Staying in Inner City

Neighborhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the center. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
