Small hotel. Reception helpful for local restaurants. Rooms clean, neat and tidy. Our room overlooked the central garden area. Quiet side away from the busy street. Great for access to main central Vienna City & all the sights. The breakfast was a Continental style with a wide range of cereals, breads cheeses & meats. Nice little sitting area just off... More

I chose this hotel for its central location and wasn't disappointed at all as main attractions were within walking distance: museums, opera, churches, restaurants & shops. Staff is very friendly & helpful. Breakfast is copious and there's a wide variety of products.

Hotel is old, so what, maybe some rooms are really scary, my was too, but who cares. All what you need is best position.... More

The location is just incredibly wonderful. The hotel itself is charming, elegant without being stuffy, light and beautiful. The front desk staff are cheerful and welcoming and so helpful! In particular Lea Tomeckova at the front desk was always delightful with a welcoming smile, and ready and able to to help with anything we needed - she made us feel... More

The hotel is located close to the Opera House where I was going to see an opera. It is on a quiet street. My single room was really tiny even for Europe. There was only one power socket so you could either plug in your laptop or your smartphone. The safe was too small to hold my laptop (and it's... More

Location and breakfast were Good!!! However, room was extremely old, bed was very small and it was like 3rd class sleeper train bed. Room I stayed was so big for nothing, this made me very scared,etc... For all above,I do NOT consider this hotel is 4 star.

I've been to many 2-star rated hotels better than this. + The location is very nice. Near all city sights and close to the U-bahnhofs. + Staff is friendly. + Its clean. - The beds are like sleeping on a carpet. Stone hard. This is torture, not comfort. - The aircond. made soo much noise that it was impossible to... More

A lovely small hotel on a pedestrianised street right in the centre of Vienna. The room we had was lovely, large and decorated in a way that was perhaps rather "period". Perfect for Vienna, but not if you want a modern, light feel. The only criticism, is that there were no drink making facilities in the room, partially offset by... More

Staying in Inner City

Neighborhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the center. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
