Good breakfast: variety of cheeses and breads. No air conditioning in the room, no fan either: in summer it can be a problem. Noisy patio/garage after 9am. Good location, close to subway and to Mariahilfer St. (lots of stores). Possible to walk to both West Train Station (Westbahnhof) and to MuseumsQuartier. Many restaurants around. Big window. Very good free wifi.... More

Small pension on a great location. Very clean and they have very good breakfast to start nice a day in vienna. Metro is near, shoping.street Mariahilfer is just minute walk. You can reach many sights of Vienna within few minutes of metro ride or a quarter of an hour walking. Advise for vacations..

Most of all, great location, very close to Mariahilferstrasse. Room is very comfortable, with a bed and little sofa. Clean bathroom. Charmingly decorated pension. Breakfast is basic, but more then enough for a pleasant meal. Staff was friendly and spoke good English. Very decent place to stay and we would come here again when in Vienna.

A simple but nice hotel. My husband and I stayed for two nights. It was conveniently located a few meters from the Mariahilferstrasse, Vienna's biggest shopping street. The hotel was however difficult to find at first because it was located at the second floor of a building. This could be either because we didn't read enough the instruction or description... More

I have been to Pension Anna several times during the last years, and I really appreciate its main location: it is very close to MariaHilfer, close to the main shopping area, restaurants, bars and metro stations. It is basic (some rooms need a refurbishment!), but it is clean and the breakfast is good. The service has been changed a lot:... More

Firstly, DO go to Vienna, which, even though it's hard to admit, puts London in the shade in terms of imperial architecture. The bigger cost will be transport. We flew Easyjet from the UK and that cost an arm and a leg. As to where to stay, we prefer to get a real feel for the city and have always... More

The hotel is near Mariahilfer str, like one minute walk. - The room was clean and basic equipped. - The breckfast is a little poor, but you will find something to eat and a good coffe. The hotel also have few parking places and there is wifi. Also, they have an elevator (the hotel is on the first floor on... More

Staying in Neubau

Neighborhood Profile
Neubau
Vienna’s art district, Neubau buzzes with galleries, arts and crafts, trendy restaurants, avant-garde shops, and cafés. Neubau’s Spittelberg quarter with cobblestoned Spittelberggasse and Gutenberggasse make for a perfect stroll alongside Biedermeier houses and art shops. Don’t miss the historic courtyard at Amerlinghaus with its typical Pawlatschen galleries, a perfect hangout on a warm summer evening. Museumsquartier is Neubau’s undisputed highlight: the former Imperial stables house various top museums of 19th to 21st century art. If you love interiors, head for the Imperial Furniture museum (Hofmobiliendepot), one of the world’s largest furniture collections. Find your favorites among a dazzling array of Baroque, Biedermeier, Art Nouveau and Modernist chairs, sofas, cupboards, coat hangers, foot stools and wash basins. No weekend visit would be complete without stopping by a local café on a weekend morning for brunch.
