The welcome was very nice. The reception and lobby has a nostalgic environment. The staff are friendly and helpful. The room was very clean. Everything was working fine. There is even a TV to watch when you are in the bathtub. The breakfast was very rich and tasty. The dining room is full of classic furniture. Good atmosphere.

It has easy access to bus, Ubahn and so to the center of the city. It has traditional decoration. The rooms are pretty spacious and very comfortable. I absolutely felt at home. Will come back for sure. The breakfast is also pretty good with a touch of Turkish cousine. Highly recommended :).

We stayed at this residence between Christmas and New Year in a 3 room apartment facing the quiet court yard. Our apartment had a brand new large bathroom, a small kitchen and 2 huge bedrooms cum living room, each with a big flat screen tv, and excellent wifi. The rooms are lovingly decorated with biedermeier furniture. Comfy beds, blackout curtains... More

Staying in this lovely residence was like something out of a CS Lewis novel. The residence is charming and quaint and the service was wonderful. The owner even assisted us to have all the souvenirs we purchased at the markets shipped back to Australia. Of all the places we stayed on our European trip, this hotel had the best breakfasts... After searching numerous apartments in Vienna we choose to stay here because of the proximity to everything. We came to visit the Christmas markets and these apartments are within easy walking distance to the majority of the downtown ones and also the Rathaus, Spanish riding center and major public transport routes. Also around the buildings is numerous eating opportunities. The... More

Because of late check in, we directly got our room key in key box. Entering the room, there was some mistakes about our reservation. The owner quickly returned to hotel and organized well. If you stay in, you met an old Wien itself! We're really enjoyed!! I like antiks and props in everywhere. In the morning, we had a true... More

Stayed here with family for 3 nights. Very spacious 2 bedroom apartment. Great location. A couple of things to know... floor and bed in one bedroom VERY squeaky and road noise might keep you awake. Owners were very friendly.

We loved the old chic style, good location and spacious apartment. Handy roof terrace to chill on. Not the latest mod cons but that's part of the charm and value is excellent. I am still writing because apparently trip advisor need more than 200 words to post. Clearly to be meaningful my original 144 words weren't enough. The art of... More

Staying in Neubau

Neighborhood Profile
Neubau
Vienna’s art district, Neubau buzzes with galleries, arts and crafts, trendy restaurants, avant-garde shops, and cafés. Neubau’s Spittelberg quarter with cobblestoned Spittelberggasse and Gutenberggasse make for a perfect stroll alongside Biedermeier houses and art shops. Don’t miss the historic courtyard at Amerlinghaus with its typical Pawlatschen galleries, a perfect hangout on a warm summer evening. Museumsquartier is Neubau’s undisputed highlight: the former Imperial stables house various top museums of 19th to 21st century art. If you love interiors, head for the Imperial Furniture museum (Hofmobiliendepot), one of the world’s largest furniture collections. Find your favorites among a dazzling array of Baroque, Biedermeier, Art Nouveau and Modernist chairs, sofas, cupboards, coat hangers, foot stools and wash basins. No weekend visit would be complete without stopping by a local café on a weekend morning for brunch.
