This hotel/pension has two types of rooms; newly, very fresh and beautifull rooms as well as old, small, worn out (yellow rings from leakage on ceiling / broken mirror) rooms. We selected the Pension Riedl for its price and its location. And we were not disappointed with either. We stayed at Pension Riedl for 3 nights in April. It is located in a quiet area but within walking distance to everything. Nobody was there when we went to check in but we called the number they had left for us and they gave us the access code for the building. Our rooms were nice and clean and staff... more

Pension Riedl is located in the centre of the city. You can go anywhere you want by feet. The renovated room we booked was really big , the bathroom was nice , the receptionist very helpful and the general impression was just perfect! Don't forget to visit Albertina museum! more

On my last minute visit to Vienna I was looking for a hotel one day in advance. Sending requests to a few places, I received quick response from the Pension Riedl offering me a large room for a single price. They sent me all instructions in the email making sure I am all set and have no problems getting in.... more

We booked this hotel through the Lonely Planet website. It was a very basic hotel, with a rather small room and a very tiny bathroom with shower. Despite the ecclectic furniture it was very tidy and clean. The newly owner is not very experienced with running a hotel, but she is more than wiling to accomodate you in any way... more

My husband and I were very comfortable at Pension Riedl in January 2004. It's just inside the ring at the Stubentor section - close to the metro stop on the U3 line and the Wein Mitte railway station where the new CAT train from the airport drops you. Consequently it's close to the main sights by foot, metro and tram.... more
