Awsome location! Basically you can´t stay more in the city center. Friendly service at front desk, convenient parking place close by, clean rooms, nice breakfast..wi-fi free of charge..Well, it is not new penzion, it deserves some investions to furniture and equipement etc, but you got excactly for what you have paid for, so no complaints at all! We will come... More

The Pension is located right in the heart of Vienna, very close to the Stephansplatz. The rooms and bathroom were tiny, but cozy, clean and nicely decorated. Breakfast was very nice and all staff was very friendly and helpful. I loved the old style elevator! I would definitely stay here again.

As I was travelling alone, I didn't want to waste time getting to places, so i hunted around and found Pension Neuer Markt. I came in by train, and found the Pension only a short walk from the U3. My eMap guided me in perfectly, but of course I walked right passed the entry. I walked around the corner to... More

Super-centrally located (entrance is from Seilergasse, as the address states, not from Neuer Markt). Staff very welcoming and efficient. If your window is towards the courtyard, there won't be any external noise (just may be sounds from the corridor, but that's unavoidable in a hotel), but on the other hand it means you have to keep curtains drawn all the... A perfect "home base" for our stay in Vienna - so centrally located. Since we booked directly with the pension, the price was not nearly as high as others appear to experience when they book through an agent. Our bedroom was not fancy, but it was adequately furnished and the beds comfortable. If I had a criticism, it would be... More

We decided to stay at this property due to it's convenient location, reasonable price, and availability. Of course with reasonable price comes some compromise. In this case, the room was TINY (we had to step over our suitcases to get anywhere in the room) and did not have a toilet so we had to use the one down the hall.... More

Do not be fooled about the image you see of the hotel - that is just the front of the building. Instead the entrance to the hotel is on a side street and only on like two floors of the multi-level building. This absolutely felt like a bait-and-switch. I don't have high expectations for hotels - but it felt like... More

Don't get me wrong: Vienna is a magnificent city and one should keep in mind that the offer of accomodations must vary, in price and quality. The Pension is extremely well located, very close to the Cathedral in the heart of Vienna. Being a pension, it makes perfect sense it is part of a 1800-1900 building, at the second floor... More

We spent 3nights, room 33 is big enough, CLEAN & CALM Location of the hotel is perfect. We enjoyed our stay! All staff were helpful, friendly and pleasant. Breakfast was basics/minimum. Maybe by adding any kind of viennoiserie/pastries/croissant would have been more satisfying.

We met up with friends here in early September to stay for several nights. The staff were really pleasant, the rooms were spotless and the breakfasts each morning were a great start to the day. We would definitely stay there again, on our next visit to Vienna.

Staying in Inner City

Neighborhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the center. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
