We stayed at Nossek for a Weekend trip. It is perfectls located next to the Stephansdom, in Vienna's center. All main Vienna sights are within walking distance. The rooms are quite large and very clean. Only the breakfast is a little poor, but is fine for the price you pay for that hotel. We can really recommend this place.

We have stayed now for two times at Pension Nossek. The place is definitely a recommendation. Hotel: The building is very old. Mozart used to live there for a couple of month during the 18th century. The furniture of the rooms is old, but stylish. It fits to Vienna. Breakfast is ok and certainly preferable to an overcrowded cafe place... More

This was a nice place, but required a lot of stairs. Had to go upstairs for breakfast, and each floor is locked and you have to wait for someone to let you in. Made it difficult to visit with friends on a different floor. Good food, but not great. Would look for someplace easier to get in/out of, fewer flights... More

Stayed about a week in Aug1998. In old town - perfect location to restaurants, transportation & sites. This was my first trip to Europe & a wonderful place to start. A week was not long enough to see it all- you need at least 2 weeks. Vienna is wonderful though not inexpensive. The Pension Nossek has an elevator and was... More

It is a wee while since we stayed at Pension Nossek, but could not speak highly enough of the property and surrounding areas. In the middle of the city. How lovely to walk out the front door and be in the major tourist attractions on Vienna. Stay a while as they say ,you will not be disappointed.

We stayed at the Pension Nossek our first 2 nights of our 2 week tour of Austria, Germany and Switzerland. We loved this hotel. The location is absolutely perfect. Right in the heart of Graben. We were in the back, with a view of the courtyard. It was perfect for us, it was quiet and allowed our first night to... More

Room was large and had a view of Graben as we had requested. We enjoyed being able to look out the window in the morning and watch the street come alive with activity. Room, bath and linens were clean. Breakfast was good. Location was great for walking to a majority of the major tourist attractions. Front desk had umbrellas we... More

We were testing the Nossek on the recommendation of friends and because we wanted to see if it was suitable for a long stay without inflicting major wallet damage while apartment hunting. I'm in the SPG programme and have been used staying in 5 star accommodation over the last 20 years so I reckoned the Nossek might be a bit... More

Perfect location for first trip to Vienna - walking distance to most attractions - our room overlooked the Graben and loved hearing the street musicians at night. Breakfast was lovely and hosts were very accommodating. Only complaint was not having access to WiFi in our room. But we went out into the hall by the breakfast room at night or... More

Staying in Inner City

Neighborhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the center. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
