Only stayed in Vienna for two days so I was not looking for an expensive or big hotel since I would be outside the whole day. Got a single room and I was honestly surprised how nice it was. Cannot even say how nice it was for the price since I stayed in a lot worse hotels that cost more... More

Small boutique guest house style in an old building two minutes walk from St Stephens and right in the heart of the City For those who want quality and, like us, want to avoid hotels that could be anywhere in the world, this is the place Quiet Immaculate Small Amazing reception staff Great breakfast Very reasonably priced Small but well... I researched Vienna for days. We were on a budget but didn't want to sacrifice location. This is the only hotel I could find that is the perfect location and not too expensive. A very good value. The rooms are quite small. Definitely a 2-3 star hotel but with a staff that makes the most of your stay in the... More

I spotted this same hotel that we stayed in 20 years ago, on Tripadvisor. It has been given a total revamp, with new bathrooms, classic furnishings and excellent beds. Rooms and bathrooms are compact due to the historical building just steps from the Stephans Platz, the heart of Vienna. We walked everywhere. Maximillian gave us fantastic advice on taking a... The hotel has a good location near Stephansplatz, close to shopping, restaurants and public transportation. The rooms were fairly small, but had everything you need, including a small minibar and safe. Art on the walls and fresh flowers in the room, complimentary fruit, sparkling water and chocolate :) Breakfast was good, only downside was that it didn't open before 07.30,... More

The hotel is really a floor of "apartments" which apparently is typical for an Austrian hotel. The rooms felt like a hotel room but thee is no extra services aside from maid service in the morning. Great location 5 minute walk from St Stephens Cathedral. We were able to get around the city easily from this location. We had 2... More

They really do have a personal touch here. From the handwritten welcome card to the little cookies on the pillow, they really do go the extra step here to make you feel welcome. The front desk staff is extremely nice and helpful too. Very impressed with this little place. Perfectly located too.

Wonderful find in the heart of Vienna. Very good value for it's central location within 5 mins walk of many sights and public transport . Service was one of the best I've encountered and room was immaculate . Cannot fault it, will definitely be back .

Ideally located, very near the cathedral and minutes from the main attractions. Friendly welcome and clean quiet room. Quite a small room, and tiny bathroom, but this was to be expected in an old building. I didn't have the breakfast so can't comment on this.

I agree with all the previous, positive reviews. Immaculate rooms. Comfortable beds. Perfect location for walking to all the inner city sights. Extremely helpful & friendly staff. We were arriving from Munich via train. Called the Pension for specific directions on how to get from the main train station to the Pension. They talked me through the subway system. It... More

Staying in Inner City

Neighborhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the center. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
