2 weeks ago I had a family emergency and had to book asap. so I found this reasonable price and location hotel and booked 5 nights through HRS. after 20 hours of trip from San Francisco I checked in ~ midnight then 2 hours in sleep I very loud street noise woke me up and couldn't sleep after. I wanted... More

I stayed in one of the apartment-like rooms for about three months in the fall of 2010 (I just picked the oldest date available in the drop-down option - sorry it's inaccurate). There was a bedroom with two beds, a bathroom, a small kitchenette (with sufficient supplies for creating a variety of simple meals), and a living area with a... More

The hotel itself is okay. I had a nice room which included a good breakfast. But the best part of it is the location. It is very close to both the U2 and U4 subway lines. In 10-15 mins you can reach anywhere in the first district (the city center). It is also close to the D line tram which... More

Not an obvious pick but in fact this is a good all round hotel located in a lovely area just north of the city centre. The hotel itself is fine ( see below) though the main thing to note is that it is really well located for getting round the city - a short walk from the Ubahn and also... More

When we booked this hotel, I wasn`t sure what to expect as it was much cheaper compared to the similar hotels in the area. I was pleasantly surprised when we reached the hotel. The location is convenient, it is about 1.5 km from the Innerstadt and also 2 minutes walking distance to U4; which also takes you to the train... More

We stayed in this hotel in late July and arrived to find that the rooms we were in had no air conditioning. Whilst a fan is provided if you ask for it, only a few rooms have air conditioning and these are another €9 a night. As a result of this we had quite a few sleepless nights due to... More

We stayed 6 days (5 nights) in this hotel, and I should say that we have really enjoyed this place. The hotel is located inside a courtyard, away from the street and quiet. The room was rather large, with a sofa, and a large desk. The bed was really comfortable, but with downside the separate matresses and the too soft... More

We stayed here for three days over Easter. The hotel is very well located with the underground at the end of the street - although you wouldn't know this as it is very quiet. Walking, you can be in the old city centre in about 15 minutes, but there are trams nearby. The hotel was busy but our stay was... More

I spent 10 days in this hotel while in Vienna for work purposes. It was really affordable and perfect distance from work, also from city center if you want to visit the many attractions found in Vienna. I had an apartment near the hotel even though I paid for a single room. The apartment was spacious, clean and everything that... More

The hotel itself is more than afequate, clean and roomy, warm, European style buffet breakfast (15 Euros for RCI members) but the best feature is it's proximity to major attractions either walking or taking underground. Located in the historic Servitenviertel district, there is access to great restaurants, shops, museums and a short walk to U2 for a connection to Prater... More

Staying in Serviten Quarter

Neighborhood Profile
Serviten Quarter
The Serviten Quarter is an inner city neighborhood with many private charms. Popular with French and American expats, Sigmund Freud’s neighborhood boasts his former practice and apartments, now turned into a museum. Stunning Liechtenstein Garden Palace houses the private art collection of Prince Adam of Liechtenstein. Romantic Strudlhofstiege close to the palace is a fantastic photo spot. With their small independent shops and eateries, the main streets of Liechtensteinstrasse, Porzellangasse and Servitengasse reveal much of this area’s character. Peek into baroque Serviten Church, with its richly decorated dome and walls. At the Old Jewish cemetery in Seegasse you can see one of the most precious cemeteries in Europe with tombstones almost 500 years old.
