Excellent central location, handy for all the places of interest. Stylish, modern, understated decor. Spacious room overlooking the park. Friendly, helpful staff. Great buffet breakfast with plenty of choices. Pity about the congestion near the bread, toaster and hot breakfast. Good restaurant next door. U-bahn from Schwedenplatz takes you direct to Schonbrun Palace. Certainly recommend this hotel for a good... More

Had a very enjoyable stay. Room was large and included a sofa, the bathroom had a large walk-in shower. The location was good, in a small square, we were able to walk to all the sights, although public transport is nearby. Would recommend.

First impressions were that the hotel was (spotlessly) clean and modern, with efficient but not overly friendly reception staff. However, this changed when, unfortunately, my friend had her purse stolen at Naschmarkt (beware!) and they really couldn’t be more helpful – looking up the numbers for her banks, letting us use the reception phone, directing us towards the nearest police... We had a wonderful stay during our honeymoon in the K+K Palais. The staff were exceptionally helpful, especially Bobby at the front desk who assisted us with all our needs with a smile. What a wonderful experience, we will definitely return. The breakfast buffet was exceptional, the best we had throughout our trip. Our room was also lovely as we... More

I'll start by saying this is a good hotel but spoilt by advice from reception. There is a restaurant next door called Das Heinz (note that almost all the Trip Advisor reviews are from people staying at the hotel). Now to my gripe. We arrived on Friday May 1. Normally you would expect a selection of non ethnic restaurants to... More

We booked a short break through BA and chose this hotel as it is fairly central and many of the places we wanted to visit were within walking distance. There is a tube station a few minutes walk away. We used it when we travelled to the Schonnbrun Palace. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice of fruits, yoghurt, cheese... More

We booked this as a part of a BA holiday deal and it was a very pleasant surprise. The rooms are huge and the location was absolutely perfect. Right near a tube stop that goes straight to the Schonbrunn Palace and only two stops from the airport train. It's also right in the centre and perfect walking distance to all... More

I stayed here with friends for 4 nights. The rooms were clean and comfortable and very quiet. We never heard any noise from the corridor or other rooms. Breakfast has a huge choice of food and extends to 11a.m. All the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. The only problem was when we purchased the Vienna pass from the... More

Last week, we stayed for four days at the K & K Palais Hotel in Vienna and found it to be just right for us. While I would not describe it as luxurious, it was completely fine -- plenty of space, very clean, good linens, and fabulous front-desk service. And, the breakfasts were a great addition. We loved the nearby... More

Staying in Inner City

Neighborhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the center. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
