Nice hotel in a good location for sightseeing and walking around Vienna, which is quite compact. Twin room + bathroom with all the provisions that you would expect including tea and coffee making facilities. Booked a massage via the hotel which was organised very efficiently and received in the hotel SPA. Breakfast was buffet style with a good quality selection... More

Good location - 5 mins to underground stop; walking distance to museums and galleries and very centre about 10-15 easy stroll. The hotel's decor is quite dark, but that's just personal taste. Very efficient check in and room was available early. Room was big and fine - no frills, but also no issues. Breakfast is very good and the brilliant... More

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights last weekend. The hotel is tucked away in a quiet spot in Spittelburg. It is literally within yards of the Museum Quarter and well positioned for most of Vienna's delights. Our room was large (223), very comfortable and more importantly, QUIET!! Actually, could not believe how quiet it was. The breakfast... More

Loved this hotel - really clean and comfortable room - we were upgraded to a city view. Breakfast excellent. Metro station round the corner made it easy to get all over the city, and you can walk to the Hofburg and main central areas in 15 minutes or less. There is also a Spar shop very close to buy water,... More

We were three ladies on a weekend first visit to Vienna and got a great deal with Jet2 and were absolutely delighted with this hotel. For us it definitely deserves it's four stars. We had a very spacious, comfortable room with tea and coffee making facilities which was really welcome after long days visiting the many beautiful sights. We too... More

The hotel is very well located, with easy access to the museum quarters and with plenty of restaurants around. The rooms are small, by european standards, clean and functional. Despite this, I would have given one more star if the staff had been attentive. But it was not. The air conditioning broke at 1:00 in the morning the first night,... More

I stayed at the hotel in August during a major heat wave where temperatures ran between 95-99 degrees everyday. The hotel had the best air conditioning in the city. The room was not chilly but it was comfortable to sit around and to sleep. I was so appreciative of this feature! The room was rather small but for one person... More

We stayed two nights in this hotel. Very convenient location for the museum quarter. Tidy, quiet and a very comprehensive breakfast selection. Found the staff efficient without being overly friendly, but would gladly stay here again. Hotel deserves the good reviews it has received.

As is our usual we booked 4 twin bedded rooms. However, when we arrived we were told that they were busy and only had king sized beds meaning that we would have to share a bed. When we protested, 2 of us got a twin bedded room but the others did not. The following morning, one of my friends booked... More

Quiet but central location within walking distance of many of the museums and with good transport links to other sights. Underground station nearby which is very easy to use. Reception staff delightful and very helpful. Room modern, convenient and immaculately clean. Bed comfortable with lovely down duvet and pillows. Aircon effective. Breakfast selection good, although scrambled egg not the best!... More

Staying in Neubau

Neighborhood Profile
Neubau
Vienna’s art district, Neubau buzzes with galleries, arts and crafts, trendy restaurants, avant-garde shops, and cafés. Neubau’s Spittelberg quarter with cobblestoned Spittelberggasse and Gutenberggasse make for a perfect stroll alongside Biedermeier houses and art shops. Don’t miss the historic courtyard at Amerlinghaus with its typical Pawlatschen galleries, a perfect hangout on a warm summer evening. Museumsquartier is Neubau’s undisputed highlight: the former Imperial stables house various top museums of 19th to 21st century art. If you love interiors, head for the Imperial Furniture museum (Hofmobiliendepot), one of the world’s largest furniture collections. Find your favorites among a dazzling array of Baroque, Biedermeier, Art Nouveau and Modernist chairs, sofas, cupboards, coat hangers, foot stools and wash basins. No weekend visit would be complete without stopping by a local café on a weekend morning for brunch.
