Positive points: - very friendly receptionist (Mr. Lotfi) - good location, near metro station, so you can access to historical place easily - good rooms with nostalgic window to yard (covered by trees) - average or normal breakfast - late check-in and late check-out accepted - an ancient building with nostalgic paintings in the entrance place - very good wifi... small hotel close to city center,5minutes walk from underground station. You can walk to Hofburg, museums, churches and theaters. Inside hotel, small reception area but very warm welcome from manager. This hotel serves free continental breakfast, the dining room is small too and the food don't look grand but good quality and great taste. The room is clean and quiet, very comfortable bed... More

This hotel is well positioned with a tram stop literally 20m from the front door. The hotel is nothing flashy but the rooms are very clean and comfortable, the breakfast was great and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The location is superb and provides easy access to public transport and the rest of Vienna. Apart from the tram... More

I stayed here with my girlfriend. The owner is very friendly and helpful with giving directions and recommending places to go. The room and washroom was clean with HDTV and decent wifi. Free morning breakfast just made the stay better. It's close to the Schottentor underground station (5 mins walk) with trams available right outside the hotel. Stephansplatz is about... More

The room was quite big and very clean, the bed was comfortable (I would prefer a harder pillow though) the bathroom was also spacious with a nice and powerful shower. The place was quiet and the location very convenient, especially if you want to be close to the University. One could hear noise from the room next door but it... More

The hotel is located very close to 1st district, perfectly 10-12 min walk to the St. Stephan's cathedral; you can also use tram or tube. This is a relatively cheap hotel for somewhere ten minutes walk from vienna's main attractions. It's basic but excellent. It's clean,well-serviced and comfortable and the breakfast is fine. My return flight was cancelled and the very friendly hotel staff were extremely helpful and courteous. You can't eat in the hotel but I recommend Charlie P's across the road for excellent... More

Staying in Serviten Quarter

Neighborhood Profile
Serviten Quarter
The Serviten Quarter is an inner city neighborhood with many private charms. Popular with French and American expats, Sigmund Freud’s neighborhood boasts his former practice and apartments, now turned into a museum. Stunning Liechtenstein Garden Palace houses the private art collection of Prince Adam of Liechtenstein. Romantic Strudlhofstiege close to the palace is a fantastic photo spot. With their small independent shops and eateries, the main streets of Liechtensteinstrasse, Porzellangasse and Servitengasse reveal much of this area’s character. Peek into baroque Serviten Church, with its richly decorated dome and walls. At the Old Jewish cemetery in Seegasse you can see one of the most precious cemeteries in Europe with tombstones almost 500 years old.
