First off, I am not the kind of person who complains much about hotels. It is 90 degrees Fahrenheit. There is just one desk fan in the whole room, this fan, upon discovery, was so dusty it did not emit any air, I asked for another fan or at least for a room with air conditioning, neither were available so... I had just got off a train from Frankfurt at the Wien Westbahnhauf and did not have a hotel booking. The first hotel that came to sight was the Mercure and I walked in to be pleasantly greeted. I told the lady at the counter about my need for a room for 3 days and although they were booked and... More

Location was great for a Pearl Jam concert, near Stadhalle about 3 blocks away. 3 or 4 stops on the subway or a 35 minute walk from Old Vienna. The elevators in this hotel were slow and confusing. One was long and skinny the other barely fit four people. The continental breakfast was pretty good. This is one of those... More

I have stayed a few times at the Mercure Westbanhoff. This hotel is a great value and a great location. The hotel is clean, the rooms are nice (and spacious) and the staff is always helpful, polite and professional. What I love most about this hotel is it's location right next to the Westbahnhof and Mariahilferstrasse. Mirahhilferstrasse is a lengthy... More

The staff were friendly, the rooms were okay. We stayed at the wing down the hallway. The second floor was a smoking floor and the smell could not be contained. I could smell it from the bottom floor and it made me want to puke. We were just one level above the smoking floor and I would usually rather take... More

Stayed their couple of time on business trip. Lots of guest due to Westbhanhof & Mariahilfer shopping district. However, it's not a star hotel as advertised. Rooms are least furnished (stayed in different parts both times) and basic amenities suck. No wi-fi! Not money's worth..
