First, the plus points - good location, very clean, and excellent breakfast. Secondly, the not so good points. My wife and I, and 2 family members had two blue rooms at the back of the hotel which overlooks a side street. Both rooms were non-airconditioned. I don't know if this applies to all rooms. Our rooms were small, and on... More

Nice breakfast- 15 euros pp to include many varieties of coffee, eggs and bacon, juicer to make your own healthy concoctions, yogurt and cereal bar, breads and pastries, and meats and cheeses. Nice variety and liked the fact we could go back for more, buffet style. Clean rooms- our room was on the Red side of the hotel which I... More

We stayed here for four nights during a conference and sightseeing visit to Vienna. The hotel's best feature was its location, just behind the Museumsquartier and a minute's walk from the metro station at Volkstheater. The room was clean, tidy, and pleasantly warm in November, but the view was onto the next building's terrace and some quite noisy fans. Nice... More

We expected more. Me and my friend stayed in here 1 night only. The location of the hotel is good. Thats the only good thing which I can say. When we arrive in check in the receptionist told as there is a parking garage where we can park with the car for 20 euro/night. He showed me the way but... More

Stayed here several times on business trips. Very nice and friendly service. Rooms are always clean and every room a bit different. Breakfast is excellent with a lot of variety. The location just behind Museumsquartier is great and very close to Volkstheater metro station. If you stay several times, you can also get variety by asking for a room in... More

We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights for a city break. We were given a suite upon arrival, larger than we had booked which was a good start! Rooms were very clean, spacious and well appointed. Very quiet at night, a pleasant breakfast, and 24hour reception with english speaking staff all of whom were friendly and helpful. The location... More

Staying in Neubau

Neighborhood Profile
Neubau
Vienna’s art district, Neubau buzzes with galleries, arts and crafts, trendy restaurants, avant-garde shops, and cafés. Neubau’s Spittelberg quarter with cobblestoned Spittelberggasse and Gutenberggasse make for a perfect stroll alongside Biedermeier houses and art shops. Don’t miss the historic courtyard at Amerlinghaus with its typical Pawlatschen galleries, a perfect hangout on a warm summer evening. Museumsquartier is Neubau’s undisputed highlight: the former Imperial stables house various top museums of 19th to 21st century art. If you love interiors, head for the Imperial Furniture museum (Hofmobiliendepot), one of the world’s largest furniture collections. Find your favorites among a dazzling array of Baroque, Biedermeier, Art Nouveau and Modernist chairs, sofas, cupboards, coat hangers, foot stools and wash basins. No weekend visit would be complete without stopping by a local café on a weekend morning for brunch.
