Hotel was booked by company agents as preferred hotel for a conference. Didn't impress on first impressions, down a side street opposite a men's club. Rooms are big and adequate. Overlooking walled rooftop. Wifi was free which was good. Breakfast was OK but limited in choice. Rooms are a bit spread out. However, on the positive side, shops are close... More

We went to Vienna because we would like to visit Schloss Schönbrunn, the Sint Stephansdom and the Rathaus. We enjoyed an excellent stay in NH Wien City. The hotel is situated near by the metro station, for us this was perfect. Besides that, the service was great and the breakfast was very good!

Very good hotel and great location for shopping. Hotel has garage but it is not always available, which is down slope. Staff is OK and food just OK ... yet, many options for dinning around to use hotel venue for that.

Getting There: From the airport we took the S-Bahn and U3 line. Get off at Neubaugasse and go out the Stiftgasse exit. A single ticket costs €4.40 from the airport – remember to frank the ticket before boarding the train. Instead, we bought a 3 day Vienna pass from the Information desk in the airport terminal. This includes free travel... More

We chose this hotel for it's location and value. The hotel is located above Neubaugasse metro station, great for travel around Vienna. The hotel reception staff were all friendly and helpful. The rooms were a good size and clean (and cleaned every day to a good standard) I would certainly this recommend this hotel and would stay again

we came here for my birthday. I am glad we chose this hotel. It is in the middle of the city, near to many attractions including museum square, shopping, opera, and so on. The hotel is very cosy, clean, and has friendly stuff. They provide help whenever you need it. If I ever visit Wien I would choose the same... More

I was in Vienna for the marathon and we chose this hotel because we accidentally thought this one was the one next to the start line (funny story). But it turned out to be pretty good after all. Seeing these photos you might think it looks bad! My room for example looked very well. New furniture, very clean and not... More

The lobby was very dirty and smelly. The carpet was full of stains!!! The room was clean and ok. It was super easy to go back and forth to the center with Ubahn. However, I know of hotels in the center with lower prices. Next time I will go to those hotels.

Staying in Neubau

Neighborhood Profile
Vienna’s art district, Neubau buzzes with galleries, arts and crafts, trendy restaurants, avant-garde shops, and cafés. Neubau’s Spittelberg quarter with cobblestoned Spittelberggasse and Gutenberggasse make for a perfect stroll alongside Biedermeier houses and art shops. Don’t miss the historic courtyard at Amerlinghaus with its typical Pawlatschen galleries, a perfect hangout on a warm summer evening. Museumsquartier is Neubau’s undisputed highlight: the former Imperial stables house various top museums of 19th to 21st century art. If you love interiors, head for the Imperial Furniture museum (Hofmobiliendepot), one of the world’s largest furniture collections. Find your favorites among a dazzling array of Baroque, Biedermeier, Art Nouveau and Modernist chairs, sofas, cupboards, coat hangers, foot stools and wash basins. No weekend visit would be complete without stopping by a local café on a weekend morning for brunch.
