Very convenient location, right by 2 metro lines and only a 20 minute or so walk from central Vienna. The rooms were ok, 2 single beds, nothing amazing but nothing awful either. Heating worked well. Breakfast was included, and the buffet had a pretty wide selection. The hotel staff didn't speak great English, but one of the members of our... More

Was a cheap 4 star hotel and was ok. Nothing special. 2 single beds pushed together as a double is annoying but hey. Spa upstairs was good however jacuzzi was cold. Expected it to be hot to relax. Good location for me and nice 15 min walk to centre.

For the price we paid for a comfort room, we did not expect too much from the Arcotel. Hotel decor is a little outdated but the room was large and clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is located 5mins walk from Westbahnhof station and is down the road from Mariahilfer Straße. Walking distance to other attractions - 20mins... More

Advertised in hotels.com as a great hotel with fantastic views, this is a hotel, probably bought up by some cheap investors who did little to improve the outdated hotel. We ordered a comfort room as advertised with pictures at the site, only to be given a rundown room, with Dorset on the wall, bad lighting and stains on the chairs,... More

Though i wouldn't call it a "bang for the bucks" (the structure is rather pricey given the surroundings), the hotel is placed in a well served area. You have Westbhanof (U3 line) and Burgasse (U6) metro stops at a five-mins walk distance (which is perfect if you are planning to park at the Oktaring Park&Ride parking instead of Arcotel's steep... Located on a busy main road opposite local tram station so quite easy to travel to/from the mainline train station and probably the main tourist destinations, although we did our 'exploring' on foot so cannot be too specific on this point. The reception staff were friendly and helpful. Spacious room with mini-bar but unfortunately no tea/coffee facilities. Our room was... More

The one who expects a fancy four stars hotel will be disappointed -the design is old fashion the interior need some renovation and the rooms partly do not meet the four star ambition (the single room i stayed in was very small and had no Minibar, or coffee maker and the toilettries seem only to be reserved for Special ?... I stayed in a comfort deluxe room which are the new renovated rooms. They were surprisingly comfy. Beds were soft but had enough support for my back. This was an excellent value for a family of four in a family suite, which is hard to find in Europe. The breakfast buffet was delicious with lots of variety and the location couldn't be better, only steps away from the metro. Would be my first choice for a return trip to Vienna.

Staying in Neubau

Neighborhood Profile
Neubau
Vienna’s art district, Neubau buzzes with galleries, arts and crafts, trendy restaurants, avant-garde shops, and cafés. Neubau’s Spittelberg quarter with cobblestoned Spittelberggasse and Gutenberggasse make for a perfect stroll alongside Biedermeier houses and art shops. Don’t miss the historic courtyard at Amerlinghaus with its typical Pawlatschen galleries, a perfect hangout on a warm summer evening. Museumsquartier is Neubau’s undisputed highlight: the former Imperial stables house various top museums of 19th to 21st century art. If you love interiors, head for the Imperial Furniture museum (Hofmobiliendepot), one of the world’s largest furniture collections. Find your favorites among a dazzling array of Baroque, Biedermeier, Art Nouveau and Modernist chairs, sofas, cupboards, coat hangers, foot stools and wash basins. No weekend visit would be complete without stopping by a local café on a weekend morning for brunch.
