Situated in a lovely residential area, this hotel was perfectly located for our visit to Vienna. There is a bus stop at the bottom of the road where you can catch no 40a to the edge of the inner city. It was easy to get to by car from the airport and there was parking right outside. The hotel itself... More

We booked this hotel due to very hot temps in Vienna this summer. It had air conditioning and an elevator, which was helpful for my mother. The hotel staff was extremely friendly and efficient. We had one double room that was roomy enough for two. My mother had a single room that was petite but with all things you need.... More

This hotel has at most 20 rooms and is located in a beautiful 100-year old villa in an upscale residential neighbourhood. Our room (#25) was spacious, and it had air conditioning and a modern TV. The bathtub was not great, it was hard and almost dangerous to get in and out! The breakfast was very good, and in good weather... More

This hotel is tucked away in a quiet, upmarket and picturesque suburb of Vienna about a 10 minute bus ride away from the city centre. The hotel has an olde-worlde feeling about it and the staff are charming. Parking is free - outside on the street. Our room and bathroom were comfortable and clean with excellent air con. Breakfast was... More

This was our first trip to Austria and our first hotel of our whistle stop tour. Booked through booking.com, and it was also reasonably priced. The room was beautiful, plenty of room for two adults and two teens. Great bathroom, lovely breakfast sat out in the garden and the staff were absolutely lovely. Complimentary chocolate and apple juice was a... More

The hotel is not in the city centre, but I believe it's not that far away. My room was smallish, but had a nice clean bathroom, good aircon and a balcony that overlooked the peaceful garden. The bed was fine and I got a good nights rest. Breakfast in the morning was good enough, and the staff all seemed helpful... More

We stayed only one night because we went to a reception at the near-by university. Check-in was fast, room was nice, service very friendly and helpful. We liked the breakfast room and the food that was offered. The hotel is a bit far from the city center, but easy to access by bus.

This is in the 19th district, a very pleasant area of really nice houses. Outside the city centre but very easy access with either bus or tram, bus stop outside and tram 5 min walk so either will get you efficiently around Vienna. Quiet residential location. The rooms are a little dated in decor but very clean and a of... More

I had a good stay here, it's in a quieter part of town, near a lovely park, a short walk from the u-bahn. Staff were friendly, rooms are good and clean, wifi in the room and apparently satellite tv but I didn't come to Vienna to watch tv so I can't verify that :) You can eat a generous and... More

If you do not mind being a bit away from all the sights and attraction of the city and prefer a smaller, more B&B than hotel like, refugee surrounded by trees in one of Vienna's posh outer districts this may be the place for you. The hotel is a typical Villa (including a nice garden so you can sit outside... More

Staying in Wahring

Neighborhood Profile
Wahring
The 18th district is the most inconspicuous of the listed neighborhoods. Where else can you still watch card players at a Viennese coffeehouse, or listen to authentic Viennese folk songs with a local audience? Like most respected Viennese neighborhoods, Währing has its own street market, Kutschkermarkt, where you can best feel its pulse. One of Währing’s loveliest outdoor destinations is the small garden palace and museum Geymüllerschlössel. The exquisite 19th century interior is spiced up by contemporary art installations curated by the Museum of Applied Arts / Contemporary Art (MAK).
