An average hotel, a bit out of Vienna and near Prater which isn't the nicest of areas, my friends were followed back to the hotel one night so I wouldn't want to stay here alone. Room was very warm, I've stayed in places with much higher temperatures outside but never had a room that retained the heat so much. Aircon... More

Out of all the hotels I've searched in Vienna that needed to be close to U-Bahn station, have a private bathroom, parking and if possible free breakfast, this seemed to be the cheapest. I was a bit worried that we might be a bit disappointed, but it turned out to be a quite nice surprise. The room on the ground... More

August 8th about 22 hours receptionist told me to get out of the hotel, because as stated will not sell me and my fiance double room, because he said he is a private hotel and we have to get out. When I asked about wifi password because I wanted to look for another hotel, he replied to me in an... More

10 minute walk from downtown area, nothing special, absolutely ordinary place. Quite lot of traffic on the street side, too noisy. Small rooms, ideal for younger generations.. Staff is ok, nothing special.

The staff was unfriendly and unhelpful, using bizarre excuses to justify their inflexibility. There was no plug in the bathroom basin and the concierge explained that if he gives us a plug we might flood the hotel. The room was very cramped, the shower had black mold and was tiny. There were not enough hooks or rails to hang wet... More

The good things: location and breakfast. It's just a short walk away from the Prater (park & metro station), that's a plus. The breakfast was also quite solid and diverse. Neutral: free wifi and service. The wifi was indeed free, but it wasn't always working. When working, speed was good. The staff was not that friendly, but on the other... More

After reading the reviews of other visitors I was afraid that our stay would be bad. But I was wrong. The single room I stayed in was big enough for me. The floor was not carpeted. Flat screen TV, telephone and a mini fridge where I stored my own drinks, etc. The only thing I can criticize about the room... More

This hotel was located within walking distance to the Prater, the 100 Wasserhaus and about a 25 minute walk to the centre of Wien and the Stephansdom. Public transport was everywhere so it was very easy to get around all times of day and night. The rooms were pleasant, clean and well presented and there was also an elevator which... More

The location of the hotel is a little off the beaten track, and initially difficult to find. We were given the room right in the roof, and as we had booked a triple room, the 3rd bed was no more than a camp bed. The room itself was okay, and the breakfast was not bad, but I don't think that... More

Location - although the location was close to the subway station, it was in a shady area Staff- staff were not friendly Rooms - rooms were old and made you feel like they weren't clean. Shower/bathroom was small. There was no room to put any toiletries. Breakfast - breakfast was not good and the food tasted stale. Would not stay... More

Staying in Leopoldstadt

Neighborhood Profile
Leopoldstadt
Welcome to one of Vienna’s trendiest quarters. The second district has witnessed a turbulent ride, from medieval swamp to vibrant Jewish quarter, from pleasure ground for the noble and humble to current hip residence and workplace of Vienna’s creative crowd. Cross the Danube Canal from the city center and take in life on Taborstrasse with its mix of old townhouses, churches, theaters, discount shops and ethnic restaurants. Head for Augarten via Karmelitermarkt, Leopoldstadt’s trendy marketplace. Baroque Augarten itself hosts a bizarre mix of manicured hedges and flowerbeds in front of a colossal World War II defense tower, the publicly accessible 300-year-old Augarten porcelain manufactory, the palatial boarding school and funky concert hall of the Vienna Boys Choir, and the modern art museum TBA21. At its opposite corner, The Prater not only houses the Giant Ferris Wheel but blends a bustling amusement park with lush woodland, perfect for a bike tour. Further east is the old derby racing ground of Krieau.
