I picked the hotel because it was about half the price of most of other Vienna hotels. It is clean, but looks a little bit outdated. The surroundings aren't inviting neither. The biggest problem was the traffic noise when opening a window or the heat, if you keep it closed, due to missing air condition. The staff was very fiendly... More

Pros: Excellent location, very close to the metro. Safe and Bar Fridge were available Staff was friendly Cons: A bit hard to find - not clearly labelled with the hotel's name, apparently there were several hotels in one. Double bed is a bit strange. The frame is for a double, but there were two single mattresses on it. Bathroom ventilation... More

we were on 2nd floor and had no sleep because of the traffic. There was no air conditioner in the room and I had to open the windows. If I closed them then room was too hot to sleep. I choose the hotel because it is very close to the main station and we were coming late evening. Otherwise I... More

My wife and me had a wonderful stay in Vienna. There we met nice people, had splendid weather and a nice place to stay. We arrived there by train from Bratislava, get off at the east/south railwaystation which was 3 minutes away from our hotel ;). Also the underground to the citycenter 2 stations) was only 300m away. Our room... More

Shortly before our arrival, it had been exceptionally warm in Vienna (36 to 38 degrees C). Our room was on the top floor, without airco, so is was very hot. The next day we asked for a cooler room. Fortunately, the staf was kind enough to give us one of the few rooms with airco, and from then on, the... More

A simple and straightforward hotel, a genuine 3 star, very clean and good service. My room was small, clean and good quality, without frills. The bathroom had everything I needed and I found the shower large enough for me. The breakfast was good and better than many I've had in hotels. As well as the usual continental breakfast there was... More

This was the dirtiest, inhospitable hotel I have ever stayed in. The room was filthy. The bedding looked liked it hadn't been washed properly and contained many dirty marks. The mini-bar was in a cupboard so small, it could easily have caught fire due to a lack of ventilation. The bathroom was very tired and the shower holder was broken.... More

Last weekend I stayed at a really nice hotel in Vienna, Austria. It was good located near the south east railway station. I had to be at the station very early so I decided to book a hotel near by. It turned out that I´ve made a really good deal there. Free Wifi and a nice breakfast was included. They... More

Staying in Wieden

Neighborhood Profile
Wieden
The fourth district combines elegant tradition with contemporary style and relaxed living. More than a dozen town palaces and churches such as St. Charles Borromeo have added glamour to a neighborhood known for its traditional retail and crafts shops, taverns, cafés. Wieden is also home to Naschmarkt, Vienna’s largest street market. Many bohemian types have found their way to Wieden: meet them in trendy cafés and bars, shop alongside them for vintage items, enjoy Wien Museum’s and Kunsthalle’s modern temporary exhibitions, and hang out with the bees at Vienna’s most beautiful urban garden, Karlsgarten.
