Hotel is in good position, not too far from Vienna center. Street train station is 100 metars from it. You can buy 24 hours Vienna ticket for all their street trains, metro, busses, for less than 8€. Hotel has a bit strange smell, walls are dirty, but the rooms are cleand every day. Hotel is old, and all furniture in... More

3 stars because the price matches the quality, that is to say, for that price, you probably won't find much better in Vienna, which is not a cheap city by any means. That said, the place looks about 40 years past its prime. My wife and I stayed in winter and it was quite a warm room with a strong... More

There was no air conditioning in any rooms. The hotel looks run down and very repulsive. The by lanes are very lonely and is a 5 minute walk from the main roads on either side. This hotel does not have a dining area and we were asked to go for breakfast to their associate hotel which is at 10 minute... More

The building is old, in sufficient state of maintenance, so the fornitures. The staff and the service are instead very good, so the wifi. The breakfast and and the rest of daily life (swimming pool and gym) is on another 4 star nearby hotel. Breakfast is good.

Not very far from Vienna center, about 5-6 stops with Bahn. Friendly stuff. Costs not very much. Eou can also have breakfast (8 Euro per person) around the corner. This one is budget option (in Vienna).

this hotel has seen better days, however for the price is more than adequate. An easy tram ride from the city, the 43 or 44, one stop past the U Bahn, it is handy to all that Vienna has to offer without being in the throng. WiFi only in lobby, and patchy at best, rooms are adequate size and I... More

It s a hotel almost near to the center although the neighborhood is unpleasant. the room was extremely small i think about 9sm and not clean enough. i spend the shampoo and they did not replace it. Too much noise from the other rooms probably thin walls. i will stay again only if i can not find another accomodation. i... More

This is a small, quiet, clean and friendly hotel. It's situated in a quiet side street not far from the Metro line. There is free wifi in the Lobby and free use of a computer. We had booked bed and breakfast and we had to walk to the nearby 4*Exe Vienna hotel for breakfast. The breakfast was very good! We... More

Staying in Ottakring

Neighborhood Profile
Ottakring
The production site of popular Ottakringer beer brews up an exciting mix of working and middle class suburbs, Balkanese immigrant lifestyles, and lush patches of hilly woodland. The recently gentrified area around Yppenplatz and Brunnenmarkt boasts hip cafés and bars next to South East European delicacies at Brunnenmarkt street market. The dynamics of Ottakring become most apparent at its vibrant high street Ottakringer Strasse. At the top end you can feast on wine and local food in Austria’s oldest wine tavern 10er Marie. The wines are from the tavern’s own urban vineyards. Before you head upwards, make sure you pay a visit to the historic courtyards between Lerchenfelder Gürtel and Hippgasse. When locals visit Ottakring’s hilly green outskirts on the weekends they either climb up 31 meters of Jubiläumswarte viewing tower on Gallitzinberg, have a succulent Wiener Schnitzel at Villa Aurora, or reward their hiking exertions around Wilhelminenberg with a drink and a view from Wilhelminenberg Palace (now a hotel and restaurant).
