I traveled to Vienna for business. The room was quite large for a European hotel. The rug seemed a bit out dated, but the room was nice. But by far the service was exceptional. The day time Concerige was always a great help, especially when sending back materials from a meeting I hosted there. The food for the meeting was... More

While the hotel is somewhat retro in style - a bit like walking back into the late 80s / early 90s - it's very well maintained, and really is perfectly situated for exploring Vienna by foot. Check-in was exceptionally welcoming, and all staff were very helpful on a range of housekeeping related issues. We didn't eat the expensive (EUR31) breakfast,... More

I stayed at this hotel with my partner whilst we were in Vienna for the Eurovision Song Contest (best to get that confession out the way first!) and we wanted to treat ourselves as we'd never been to either Eurovision or Vienna before... You never quite know what a 5-star hotel will be like in another country, as everyone seems... More

The hotel facade and the Libby was very updated which led us to be disappointed about the room. The room was quite old, needs much updating, our bathtub was old and looked used with marks that could not be cleaned inside it. But the hotel was near the old church which was convenient.

Very good city hotel ....ideal for Vienna sightseeing . The hotel was welcoming and excellent service . Sadly in need of a facelift in the rooms . Beds comfortable and tea /coffee in rooms . Big bus tour stops outside hotel , and within walking distance of bars and restaurants . Near to Opera house and centre . Would recommend... More

This hotel is right across from Staadtpark and convenient to walk to the opera and many other locations. However found it to be not as good as other Marriotts in their Executive Lounges for food quality, set up and general ambiance. The bathrooms are very small with the shower in a bathtub not separate. Beds are great and the staff... More

Recently stayed two nights at this hotel with my daughter. Overall, very pleased with the hotel. The service was excellent. I would like to recognize Marlena who greeted me at the Elite Member desk upon check-in. She was friendly and extremely helpful with not only the check-in process, but also helping us map out our activities (must-see items) the next... More

This property is conveniently located for tourists. We never used the subway or transit system. We did use the hop on hop off to get to a coupe of the further attractions (Schonbrunn Palace and the Ferris Wheel). Everything else was a short walk (10-30 minutes), I also recommend the concert that is around the corner from the hotel. I... More

This location is conveniently located across from Statdpark. Easy way to Imperial palace and a beautiful walk to Kartner Strabe or Kaerntnerstrasse for great shopping and pedestrian walking. We went there in the evening twice to enjoy the fall weather, a bite to eat with the locals and coffee. The Concierge was very helpful with directions, helpful hints and suggestions... More

As many have said, this is a very nice hotel in a great location. The metro is a short walk down the street, but for exploring the old town you don't need it. Very nice lobby and entrance, rooms are quite nice. It's time, though, to stop with the wifi excuses. It should be free...period. Not "free when you're a... More

Staying in Inner City

Neighborhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the center. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
