The hotel is great. It is situated near the Ring, just behind the Museum Quarter. You are just a 5-minutes walk from the Maria Theresien platz. Also there is a metro stop nearby. The street next to Lindengasse is a nice shopping street with all kind of stores like H&M, ESpirit, etc. And also there are enough restaurants nearby. The... More

A pleasant, well run boutique hotel in a convenient location close to sights, shopping, subway and restaurants. We stayed here for three days over Christmas. Staff were very helpful and pleasant. Room was a decent size and well set up. Continental breakfast provided.

The Savoy is a nice enough hotel. Enough being the operative word. Nothing more, nothing less. Just enough. It is located nicely located on a side street just a very short block through the alley to the U Bahn and a nice walking street shopping area. About 10 minute walk to the Museum district, and 10/15 minute walk to the... More

Stayed in this hotel for 3 days and was absolutely delighted with the service we received. On arriving the lady behind the desk was so friendly and was very interested in giving us information to help us enjoy our stay. The rooms were very nice and cleaned well. The breakfast was a bit different to what I'm used to but... More

This is not the big Savoy, this is the little Savoy in Vienna on Lindengasse. Don't be caught out like we did. The little Savoy is, I think at the better end of town and quite near everything. We love to walk so it's about half an hour walk to Michaelerplatz (near the Spanish Riding School) and 15 mins to... More

We really enjoyed our stay in Hotel Savoy. The staff were very helpful and friendly and the location is fantastic, very close to the Museum Quarter and main shopping area. The hotel is pleasantly old-fashioned, very well maintained and clean. In addition, when I left my coat behind after checking out the staff were extremely helpful in arranging for it... More

Roomy and nicely appointed. WiFi worked well. Our view overlooked nothing, just another building. Noisy throughout the night. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Located in a great area with easy access to transit. Overall happy with hotel.

A great location. The room was specious and very clean. A modest breakfast. The staff were really friendly and helpful. We did not expect such a good place for the price. I will point out that the lift was a bit problematic (really small, hard to operate). The breakfast room is very small, so in "rush hours" it moght get... More

Staying in Neubau

Neighborhood Profile
Neubau
Vienna’s art district, Neubau buzzes with galleries, arts and crafts, trendy restaurants, avant-garde shops, and cafés. Neubau’s Spittelberg quarter with cobblestoned Spittelberggasse and Gutenberggasse make for a perfect stroll alongside Biedermeier houses and art shops. Don’t miss the historic courtyard at Amerlinghaus with its typical Pawlatschen galleries, a perfect hangout on a warm summer evening. Museumsquartier is Neubau’s undisputed highlight: the former Imperial stables house various top museums of 19th to 21st century art. If you love interiors, head for the Imperial Furniture museum (Hofmobiliendepot), one of the world’s largest furniture collections. Find your favorites among a dazzling array of Baroque, Biedermeier, Art Nouveau and Modernist chairs, sofas, cupboards, coat hangers, foot stools and wash basins. No weekend visit would be complete without stopping by a local café on a weekend morning for brunch.
