Hotel Royal is a hop, step and jump from St Stephan's Cathedral, and Stephan's Platz and Kaertner Strasse, a mighty central and convenient location. We like to walk everywhere we go and this hotel is in a great location. It is also close to the transit system. The hotel has an excellent staff and a great breakfast. It is just behind the cathedral, in the hearth of Vienna. We had a good room, quite big for the European standards, very clean and quite. The Italian restaurant at the 10th floor has a splendid view on the city. We did not eat there, however the menu appears interesting. The breakfast was good.

We highly recommend The Hotel Royal in Vienna for its accommodations, location, comfort, staff and value. Our double room was large & comfortable with a very nicely appointed, useable sitting area. With wonderful breakfasts and helpful staff we really enjoyed our 4 night stay while exploring Vienna and will return again.
