Good location close to the Stephan but quiet on a alley. Small room typical for European hotels. Traditional-looking but clean and cozy. Reasonable price. People are friendly, but don't expect too much for breadfast. We may come back.

The location could not be better - around the corner from St. Stephen's and 3 blocks from the Hofburg extravaganza, 5 blocks from the Museum Quarter. The room was small and I had a shower; no bathtub. But it was very reasonably priced and the room size was certainly manageable. The staff was friendly and helpful. I would stay here... More

Sorry to have to write a rather negative review, but I feel it necessary to counteract the over enthusiasm for this hotel that these other reviews reflect. Maybe they just loved Vienna itself, which is easy to do. Or maybe, they reacted to the fact that this hotel is near higher priced hotels. (However, it's lower priced for a reason.)... More

A wonderful hotel in an excellent location just few steps away from Stefansplatz. With in easy striking distance by foot of some of the most notable landmarks of the city. Close by the ubahn and other public transport. The staff were all extremely helpful and knowledgeable, nothing was ever a trouble to them. Certainly enhanced our Viennese experience.

I booked this hotel many many months ahead via Hotels.com but after arriving at hotel, I was told that there was a reservation mix up and that there is no room for me and that they will send me to their sister hotel,Regina Hotel, a ten minute taxi ride. I argued but got no where so I relented only because... More

We just travelled home from 5 great days Vienna and Graben Hotel sure contributed to this great feeling. It can be described as chique-romantic with a wooden interior, a lot of drawings/pictures on the wall and information about famous guests from the early days. The rooms are comfortable however we missed tea/coffee facilities. In March they had a 4=3 deal... More

I had researched hotels for the visit and wanted something central, I didn't want to spend time or money on underground, bus or tram just to get to the centre of town so I could do the tourist thing.. my flight was delayed by 3+ hours and arrived at the hotel just after midnight, not a problem when its so... Great location. Nice, helpful staff. Breakfast included, which was tasty. Rooms were reasonable. Not fancy by any means. Suitable to sleep, rest your head for a few minutes, leave your bags, and go exploring. Internet was good. Didn't like the key system. all door just have one actual key, that stays at hotel.

Staying in Inner City

Neighborhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the center. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
