I had selected this hotel because it is close to the Belvedere Museum and also the train station where I had to catch a train to Slovakia at the end of my stay in Vienna. The hotel turned out to be charming. It seems like a perfectly preserved 1950's building, with all of the original details intact and in pristine... More

I booked this hotel for its proximity to the central station and reasonable price. It is directly opposite the station across a busy main road, but if your room is facing the road, there is very good sound insulation against the traffic noise ( two double glazed doors between the room and a small balcony) Reception staff were very helpful and... Strong wifi, not bad breakfast, nice stuff, A/C works, WC clean. Close to the supermarket and UBAHN. Good noise isolation from traffic. Price was really good! I hope it is still so available for every budget.

Hotel very close to the train station Vienna HBF, just walk out the train station look over the road, cross over , turn right and walk, the hotel will be on your left in 3 – 5 minutes. Check in was very quick and easy and we were given a room on the 6th floor. The room was nothing special... More

This hotel was booked from BA with no real expectations, just somewhere to rest our heads in a city we had not visited before. It is just a few minutes walk from the U-Bahn station and is close to the Belvedere and Army museums. The road outside is busy but not obtrusive and the rooms were very clean as were... More

An ordenary hotel close to Vienna's Central Train Station with a good connection to the city center. Although the staff were very courteous, the rooms were old and sparsely furnished, but all over clean. However, the lobby definitely gives a wrong impression compared to the pictures on the website that make it look bigger than it is. Also the breakfast... More

We wanted a hotel which was within easy reach of the city, without paying some of the high prices. This hotel did exactly that - it was a 5 minute walk away from the main train station where our train from Bratislava arrived, and the U1 underground station wasn't far either. The hotel is set on a very busy stretch... More

Very Comfortable hotel 10 mins walk from Wien HbF. Excellent wifi in the Rooms. Decent breakfast selection. There is a shortage of good quality restaurants nearby and can only suggest the mid range restaurant a few doors down heading back to station. Big plus is the 20 min walking distance to the military Museum which is great. Good Value for... More

Staying in Wieden

Neighborhood Profile
Wieden
The fourth district combines elegant tradition with contemporary style and relaxed living. More than a dozen town palaces and churches such as St. Charles Borromeo have added glamour to a neighborhood known for its traditional retail and crafts shops, taverns, cafés. Wieden is also home to Naschmarkt, Vienna’s largest street market. Many bohemian types have found their way to Wieden: meet them in trendy cafés and bars, shop alongside them for vintage items, enjoy Wien Museum’s and Kunsthalle’s modern temporary exhibitions, and hang out with the bees at Vienna’s most beautiful urban garden, Karlsgarten.
