Thought we had gone back in time when we arrived at this hotel which currently overlooks one of the largest building sites in Vienna. The fittings, furniture and staff need to be brought into the 21st century. Advised reception on 6 occasions that our antiquated television was only showing black and white, it was only looked at on the morning... More

We had 3 nights at Prinz Eugen hotel with my wife. The hotel gave us (as requested) a room looking at the back of the hotel, which actually has a great view towards the city (we were also given a room on the 8th floor). Rooms are not big but anyway, you are not meant to stay at the room... More

Stayed for 4 nights. The service at the reception was very helpful albeit not the friendliest however, they delivered when asked. The breakfast needs some serious rearangements and they need to refill those plates more often. Good location, very close to belvedere park, and 4 stops with tram to stephanplaz, which is convenient.

Pros: Great location, close to metro station and Belvedere Palace. The staff is very kind. Special Thanks to Maria from the restaurant at the hotel where the breakfast is served for her great attitude. Our 8 months old daughter liked her very much:) Cons: For 5 days stay in the hotel we didn't have internet in the room for almost... More

Rooms are clean. Small Tv. Train and bus station is near to the hotel, is just across to the road. There are aircond n heater in the room. Main problem that ruin my day is Receptionist does not smile at all when you ask them any info. Is like not willing to share info. Bad service.

This hotel did a great job of meeting our needs. The location is close to a transportation stop and the train station, the Belvidere Museum is within walking distance and the rooms were quiet and clean. The breakfast got us off to a good start and would recommend it to anyone looking for a reasonably priced hotel in a town... More

Hotel is a good 3* hotel rather than announced 4*. Mostly because "it seems to know better times", but rooms are quiet and clean (some were referbished sometime ago, but they still look "get used"). Breakfast is ok (usual omelette/boiled eggs, some meet, yogurt, flakes/crunches, bread and jam), but don't expect much variety or selection of cheese or fruits. VERY... More

The people at the reception appear to be too busy to answer queries. The interiors of the room are very very old, pathetic carpets, rust on the railings of room balconies, ..... Can't be more than a 2 star. I wonder how they managed to get 4 stars. Below average breakfast.

We chose this for a one night stay on a trip from Budapest as it was close to the main railway station. This worked well for us as we were able to leave our bags and go straight off into the city centre - a pleasant walk through the nearby Belvedere gardens, although the D tram is a good alternative... Stayed at this hotel for a few nights while in Vienna due to a great rate and good reviews. This hotel was right across the street from a streetcar stop which was helpful coming from the main station as well as taking streetcars into the city. Hotel was only 10 minutes to Vienna. Although the hotel wasn't walking distance to... More

Staying in Wieden

Neighborhood Profile
Wieden
The fourth district combines elegant tradition with contemporary style and relaxed living. More than a dozen town palaces and churches such as St. Charles Borromeo have added glamour to a neighborhood known for its traditional retail and crafts shops, taverns, cafés. Wieden is also home to Naschmarkt, Vienna’s largest street market. Many bohemian types have found their way to Wieden: meet them in trendy cafés and bars, shop alongside them for vintage items, enjoy Wien Museum’s and Kunsthalle’s modern temporary exhibitions, and hang out with the bees at Vienna’s most beautiful urban garden, Karlsgarten.
