Only two blocks from the cathedral, a more central location would be impossible to achieve. Most of the destinations in which visitors are most likely to be interested are readily accessible. Rooms are comfortable, quiet, and easy to reach from the old fashioned but apparently reliable elevator. Service is adequate, though the helpfulness of front desk personnel varies from one... More

My wife and I stayed at the Hotel Kaiserin Elisabeth during one of our recent trips to Europe in the fall of 2011. I have to start off by saying that the hotel is amazingly located right in the center of Vienna, only steps away from the main shopping streets. The rooms are very nice, modern, spacious and extremely clean.... More

We just returned from a 3 night stay in Vienna at the Kaiserin Elisabeth. Although the weather was unusually cold, the reception, hospitality, warmth, and charm of the hotel and it's staff warmed and pampered us. The staff at reception were the best one could hope for. They knew everything about Vienna and at once made us feel like old... More

Have just returned from a 4 night stay in the Kaiserin Elisabeth and was not disappointed. The hotel is perfectly located right in the centre of Vienna, the staff were very friendly and helpful, the breakfasts were wonderful and the rooms very comfortable. After being out in the very cold weather, it was lovely to return to this warm, welcoming... More

Great location literally 2 minutes from U3 Stephanplatz station (exit Kartner strasse) and a stones thrown from Stephanplatz. Lovely welcoming staff. The rooms are fine and the breakfast buffet is very good. its the location that makes this hotel such a find - and so easy to get to from the airport. instead of paying 30+ euro it cost me... More

The Hotel Kaiserin Elisabeth was an easy trip from the Westbahnhof train station to Stephansplatz. The U-train exit was less than a block from the hotel. Centrally located in Vienna, the hotel is just off the main street, which puts you very close to the sights, but away from the noise. Walking or taking the train meant that our hotel... More

I had a lot of trouble deciding where to stay in Vienna as there are so many places to choose from. I am so happy with my choice with staying at Hotel Kaiserin Elisabeth. The location is amazing, you can walk to most of the sights, I never caught transportation except to and from the airport. The staff were very... More

I have stayed twice in this hotel on business trips in February 2009 and in January 2012. Its obvious advantage is that it is only 2 minutes away from the Stephansplatz, right in the center of town. The hotel looks prestigious and a bit old-fashioned from inside. The rooms seem to have different sizes but I always got a large... More

I spent 5 nights from Dec 29 to Jan 3, 2012 and what a treat that was to be in the middle of all the excitement of ringing the New Year! This boutique 60 rooms hotel just off the pedestrian Kantner Strasse starting at the Cathedral all the way to the beautiful Opera house. The staff very nice accommodating especially... More

I stayed at the hotel for two nights at the end of September 2011, arriving mostly for the successive evenings of opera performances, and additionally to marvel once again at Vienna's cultural treasures. I was very pleased with the hotel - it proved to be as most reviews describe it, truly very good and comfortable. I asked for a very... More
