Had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. Rooms are spacious and clean. The location worked great for me as I don't mind walking the 10 minute required to get to the subway. Once on the subway it's only 2 stops and you'll be at Karlsplatz. Compared to the other reviews I found a lot of cafés and restaurants in... More

You get exactly what is says on the tin. The staff were very helpful and very friendly. The rooms have everything you need for a shorts stay. The art is brilliant, and breakfast was spot on. I will use this hotel each time I go back to Vienna.

Have just checked out of the Art Hotel and am happy to report that I was extremely pleased for the duration of my stay. The room was ready for us at 11am, and both room and ensuit bathroom were immaculately clean. I can comment on neither the bar nor the breakfast, as I didn't use either service, but the location... Located somewhat inside, Hotel doesn't offer much out of the box. The rooms are pretty average, Breakfast could have more variety. Hotel is located amidst several Residential apartments and its pretty serene stay. On the whole an average stay.

The rooms of the hotel was nearly standard, however the public areas were decorated in an interesting way just like its name. It was located at a nice area not very far away from the city centre. The breakfast included to the room price was surprisingly nice.

DO NOT STAY HERE!! A warning to potential visitors. My wife and I stayed here the beginning of November 2015. All seemed good with the hotel until the 2nd day when we decided to watch a movie in bed. We had been watching a move for 45 minutes when my wife jumped up scared because she saw something move. We... More

Hotel was fully booked for single rooms so our rooms were shifted to double room with increased price (obviously). The hotel has good setup with wonderful arts/paintings which are also for sale. Service was ok, cleanliness was good. Paying breakfast was a bit expensive with euro 9 per breakfast.

If only most apartments were this nice. A very spacious and comfortable living room, which we mostly used to spread out our stuff. The bedroom is small, but very comfortable with ample light, a great window. The bathroom, you don't want to leave. From the enormous free standing tub to the glass shower stall with water fall faucet, and luxurious... More

Staying in Margareten

Neighborhood Profile
Margareten
This former working class district blends hip eateries and avant-garde cinema with a time travel into 1950s Vienna. Feel the district’s pulse at Margaretenhof and Schlossquadrat. 19th-century Margaretenhof is a local icon, yet has very non-Viennese architecture with its brick structure and cast-iron verandas. The nearby urban Renaissance castle of Schlossquadrat houses several restaurants. In the summer you can sit in its romantic shady courtyard over Schnitzel and Kracherl (traditional fizzy syrup). Siebenbrunnenplatz and its surrounding shops and grocery stores have remained virtually unchanged in the past 60 years: taking a walk there is like stepping into a 1950s film set. Speaking of movies, head to avant-garde cinema Filmcasino in the evening. It often stages foreign language cult films.
