A pleasant hotel at a reasonable price. The rooms are comfortable, but a bit noisy if you have the windows open, as the hotel faces the Ringstrasse. Excellent breakfast and friendly and helpful staff. Only about two minutes walk from the U-barn on the U-1 line, which is very convenient if you are working at the Vienna International Centre. Be... I can be very fussy when choosing Hotels, especially for a city break, but we stayed at Hotel Capricorno early in March just after the renovation and it ticked all the boxes for me! The staff were very friendly and helpful, we had an excellent tip for local authentic restaurant. The location was perfect, handy for underground, airport, trams and... More

We stayed three nights at Hotel Capricorno: the hotel is in Schwedenplatz and it's an excellent choise if you want to visit Vienna. The bus stop from/to airport is at about 100 m, the old town (Stephansplatz) is at 5 min walk, metro station (U1 and U4), tram 1 and 2 stop (to go around the ring road) just outside... More

It is very rare to stumble across a hotel such as Schick's Hotel Capricorno. Located just a stone's throw from St Stephens Cathedral this newly renovated hotel exceeded all expectations. Booked via late rooms due to flight delay, good quality hotel, modern and efficient. Great room decor, managed to fix nice room temperature to sleep, quiet absolutely no noise. Staff were very welcoming and efficient from desk to restaurant. Can't say enough good things about this hotel.

Just redecorated, in hip colourscheme. Good location for U-bahn and centre. Room a bit small for two persons, but clean. Nice shower, but the temperature was fixed at a just to hot temperature, no. matter what we did! Breakfast is fine, and the lady in the breakfastroom just makes your day!! Nice 3 star plus hotel.

Dear Brigitta P, We just reopened our Hotel Capricorno after a complete renovation and thank you for submitting the first review on Tripadvisor! Staying in Inner City

Neighborhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the center. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
