The beds are super comfortable. The breakfast is a definite plus and worth the 6 euros. (pity you have to pay for a coffee!) The location is good for the price we paid about a 5 min walk to the metro station which is about two stops to the main area. (the metro closes at about midnight, which is a... More

Nice hotel with super helpful staff. We got a small room upstairs and were happy about it :) it was very warm. Shower is perfect. Minus one star because of the breakfast. The choice was not big, and they do not offer free coffee and tea. Also if travelling by car, you'll have to find a place for parking and it... More

If you're looking for luxury, this isn't for you. But if you are looking for a classy, comfortable, unique, affordable, accommodation with FANTASTIC BED - you have found it. Location is abit dodgy. Praterstern is the nearest U-Bahn station. Pretty dodgy at night. Otherwise location is fantastic. Easily accessible to the city. And U-bahn. My favourite part is really the... More

Located in a nice quiet side street only 30 mins walk from Stephen's Platz and 5 mins walk from the subway station. Weird bed setup from end to end instead of side by side. I guessed because of the narrow hotel room. Make sure the toilet bowl lid is down before you flush the toilet, otherwise you will have disgusting... More

The hotel is four stops from the main station Hbf. A nice budget hotel with good rail links to the city centre & tourist stuff being only 500 mtrs from Praterstern station. The rececption staff were excellent and very helpful, the public areas were nicely decorated with work from local artists. There is also an honesty bar in the reception.... More

This is a very nice hotel with a reasonable price for Vienna. It is close to the Praterstern subway stop (5 minutes) and is close to restaurants, supermarkets, and cafes. You are only three metro stops from the downtown area where all teh museums and attractions are located. The hotel has a trendy feel with a nice honor bar in... More

The hotel is in 10min walk distance from the Praterstern metro station, which is great. I visited the hotel in October, when they were almost fully booked. I booked a room on Booking.com, which was not the last available, with double bed preference. They never sent an email, but billed by debit card hastily. When I arrived, I found out... More

I've spent there three nights during my short visit to Vienna. Hotel's very nice. Rooms very nice and clean. Staff wonderfoul and helpful. We have eaten nice brekfast's there as well. Location of this hotel is grate. Almost in a city center. Very close to Prater. Because of that we could get everywhere on foot and leave our car for... More

The hotel is really good for a 3 start hotel but there are reconstructions at the buildings behind the hotel. And they start at 0700 am with drilling in walls and concrete. With two at the same time. So that result in a lot of noise. Even with all windows closed you could hear it so loud! It was so... More

This hotel was located near the Praterstern station which was convenient. The room was quite large and the beds were really comfortable. However, the room was uncomfortably hot. Unbearably hot honestly. The first night we were there all the fans were being used and we had to go without. Even laying in bed completely in the buff with no covers... More

Staying in Leopoldstadt

Neighborhood Profile
Leopoldstadt
Welcome to one of Vienna’s trendiest quarters. The second district has witnessed a turbulent ride, from medieval swamp to vibrant Jewish quarter, from pleasure ground for the noble and humble to current hip residence and workplace of Vienna’s creative crowd. Cross the Danube Canal from the city center and take in life on Taborstrasse with its mix of old townhouses, churches, theaters, discount shops and ethnic restaurants. Head for Augarten via Karmelitermarkt, Leopoldstadt’s trendy marketplace. Baroque Augarten itself hosts a bizarre mix of manicured hedges and flowerbeds in front of a colossal World War II defense tower, the publicly accessible 300-year-old Augarten porcelain manufactory, the palatial boarding school and funky concert hall of the Vienna Boys Choir, and the modern art museum TBA21. At its opposite corner, The Prater not only houses the Giant Ferris Wheel but blends a bustling amusement park with lush woodland, perfect for a bike tour. Further east is the old derby racing ground of Krieau.
