Durin the last days of december 2004, I stayed at Am Augarten Hotel, with my wife and my daughter. We enjoyed not only the location (close to downtown and other sightseens) but also the friendly atmosphere of his staff, the excellent breakfast and the kind of our room. This was one of the worst hotel stays I have had. Like one of the other reviewers said, the staff was unfriendly and unhelpful. They kept forgetting one simple request I made. Sheer indifference! The location was terrible and on the whole they made my stay in Vienna not so happy. Dont know how it is 3 stars. more
