The best view from our room. You open the window and you thing you can reach the cathedral. Nice and very clean room. Lovely stuff in the breakfast room . Breakfast more that we needed . A little bit expensive but its worth it. Service for parking very very expensive , 25 euro every time you need the car (for... More

From the moment we arrived the staff were helpful, friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The room was a good size and very well equipped. The hotel could not have been better situated. It literally was in the centre of Vienna. With in walking distance of everything.

We arrived at Vienna airport and boarded the S7 train to Landstrasse Wien Mitte, where we made an easy change to the U3. The ticket from the S7 allows you to continue your travel on the U-Bahn. A short journey to two stops brings you to Stephenplatz Station. The hotel is only a few meters from the top of the... More

This was our first visit to Vienna so the previous reviews from TA visitors were invaluable. We booked a superior room which was on the 6th Floor (7 Floors in total) which had full width windows with a view of the Cathedral and the central area of Vienna. We didnt use any public transport as we visited sites in the... More

The location of the hotel is unbeatable, in front of the cathedral. The premises: it is a wonderful hotel, clean clear rooms, a great breakfast buffet, and about the personnel: everybody was very friendly and polite. We really enjoyed our stay, thanks to all the staff, but mainly to the waiter attending the breakfast buffet. Kind regards from Spain, J.Rohrbach

Superbly located hotel in the central square with lots of atmosphere & adjacent to the metro. We stayed just before Christmas & could easily stroll to good restaurants & the Hofberg & Spanish Riding School & the main pedestrianized shopping streets. Also opposite the Cathedral & carriage rides (lovely viewed over an excellent breakfast). We took a tram to the... More

Title sort of tells it all. You can't be more central than this area, and the hotel is literally a stones throw away from the cathedral. We had breakfast with our stay, good breakfast fare to start the day. We stayed during NYE 2014 and the staff was very helpful with all our requests and offered excellent advice for getting... More

We just returned from a wonderful eight night visit to Vienna. We booked a deluxe room with balcony several months prior as a special treat to ourselves for our anniversary. For me, it was also a homecoming of sorts as I had been to Vienna many times in the past, both with family and then as a university student, but... More

The hotel is in an amazing location, right opposite St. Stephan's cathedral, next to the U-Bahn station, and walking distance to Mozart museum, the opera, Augustiner church, etc. The staff were also really helpful with directions, restaurant bookings, etc (especially Diana at reception). The rooms in the hotel are very nice and well stocked - there were also nice touches... More

Noting it's great location on a map, we chose because it was actually on Stephansplatz -- part of the pedestrian area which makes Vienna so accessible! The fact that U-Bahn station for 2 of the main lines was right in front of the hotel helped. We paid a little more for a room facing the cathedral and we had an... More

Staying in Inner City

Neighborhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the center. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
