This is a very good hotel. The rooms are well appointed with wonderful beds, the hotel's facilities are compact but elegant, the food is good and the Margaretenstrasse is lined with interesting, funky and useful shops. The staff are great too. Always friendly, helpful and eager to help us enjoy Vienna.

The front desk is superb. What a wonderful staff. Each of the ladies gave us info about the area. Provided a scale to weigh my luggage. Got the airline on the phone for me. When they found out it was my husbands birthday they left a card and cookies in our room. I felt very special. I would definitely recommend... More

We shared a family room with our son and it was excellent with a small sitting area as well as a double sofa bed and large double. The room was very quiet and very comfortable. The location suited us and it was near the large food market. Breakfast was excellent and plentiful.

We visited Vienna for the weekend and stayed here. I had an image of a Holiday Inn being very basic but this hotel far exceeded my expectations. It is in a good location, 5 mins walk from the subway and from there to central Vienna is 5-10 mins on the underground. The hotel is modern and decorated to a high... More

We had a verry good holliday in Wien, and this hotel was one of the reasons. Placed in a quiet neighborhood, 7 to 10 minutes to center. Rooms were verry clean and nice furnished, more than confortable. Breakfast was verry, verry good, for all tastes. I strongly recomand.

I went there on my own on business travel and spent one night there. Location is good - in the city center. Rooms are clean and with enough space. Beds are comfortable. Breakfast is good Hotel is divided in 2 parts, rooms on the back are more quiet that front ones which are overlooking the street.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, nice people. Both the room and the bathroom were clean and spacious. Comfortable and well organized. The location is fine - 10ish minutes to the center, but quiet at night. Many restaurants/cafes around, as well as a couple of small supermarkets. Would happily stay here again. room 414/ 11-15 June 2015

Best thing about this hotel are the excellent hotel staff. Very helpful indeed! Speak good English. The rooms are fine, typical of this type of hotel. Beds & pillows very good. Very hot weather whilst we were there - aircon is adequate. Somewhat hampered by EU regulations but this is the case for all the hotels. All told, you should... More

Dear 612stephen, On the one hand side I am happy to read that you liked the location and that you appreciated the efforts to find a solution during your stay. Saying this I am terribly sorry the options available could not resolve the issue. While the hardness of a mattress certainly depends on every person's preference, I have already forwarded... More

Staying in Margareten

Neighborhood Profile
Margareten
This former working class district blends hip eateries and avant-garde cinema with a time travel into 1950s Vienna. Feel the district’s pulse at Margaretenhof and Schlossquadrat. 19th-century Margaretenhof is a local icon, yet has very non-Viennese architecture with its brick structure and cast-iron verandas. The nearby urban Renaissance castle of Schlossquadrat houses several restaurants. In the summer you can sit in its romantic shady courtyard over Schnitzel and Kracherl (traditional fizzy syrup). Siebenbrunnenplatz and its surrounding shops and grocery stores have remained virtually unchanged in the past 60 years: taking a walk there is like stepping into a 1950s film set. Speaking of movies, head to avant-garde cinema Filmcasino in the evening. It often stages foreign language cult films.
