We arrived about 9 pm after a transatlantic flight, check in took all of one minute and we were off to our room. Very well maintained and "cute" design, wonderful high ceilings. Room was very quiet, we slept well. The breakfast was of very high quality with many choices. The hotel graciously stored our luggage while we toured around Vienna.... More

This lovely boutique hotel is tucked in a side street about 3 blocks from city center. It's a great location, quiet when wanted, yet close to activity when needed. Local restaurants just a block away. The opera house, palace and pedestrian walking street a quick 8 minute walk. The hotel staff was very helpful and accommodating. Everything we asked for... More

If you are looking for warm&cosy hotel. I strongly recommend this hotel. First of all, the location is perfect. Traditional market, subway station & the session museum are very close to the hotel. In addition, the hotel provide you a concert in weekend. That was the memorable moments that i had been in Vienna.

Well located for visiting the city but in a quiet street and very close to the market for buying lunches and occasional meals. Within easy reach of excellent restaurants in the Museum Quarter and other areas of the city. A short walk to the local underground station to visit the Schonbrunn Palace. Wonderful breakfast - good fresh fruit and bread... More

Totally dissatisfied with their customer service. I couldn't make it to the hotel due to a flight cancellation (in Stuttgart). I was stranded in a foreign country without any possibility to get in touch with the staff, and yet I was still charged for one night. I was told I can contact my insurance to request a reimbursement. That is... More

Spent three nights at the beerhoven and was really happy with the stay. The location is great just at the naschmarkt which is really vibrant. The hotel is down a side street so it is quiet when you return at night, ideal. Ten minutes walk to the city centre or 3 minutes to the tube. Rooms are nice, staff lovely... More

We stayed on the 5th floor and had an excellent room with a queen size bead. Bathroom was new with amazing shower. The desk helped us book the concert and recommended excellent restaurants. Location is excellent where the hotel is walking distance to opera. I would recommend this hotel and definitely stay here again.

This hotel is tucked away on Papagenostrasse, named after Mozart's Papageno. The reason for this is because the theatre across the street (Theatre an der Wien) was the location of Die Zauberflote's premier. This is at the heart of Wien, less than five minutes away from Karlsplatz and ten from the State Opera. The check-in was smooth, receptionists friendly and... More

Staying in Mariahilf

Neighborhood Profile
Mariahilf
Vienna’s sixth district hosts high street shopping heaven and pedestrian area Mariahilfer Strasse. The weirdest local building is probably the city aquarium Haus des Meeres, housed in one of Vienna’s six remaining World War II defense towers, and topped with a rooftop bar that offers stunning views over Vienna and the center. One of the most historic sites in the area is the passageway of 18th century Raimundhof with its small shops and cafés. It leads from Mariahilfer Strasse to Windmühlgasse. For a glimpse into the world of early 19th century theater, visit Semperdepot, the former depository for theater decoration, which now hosts art exhibitions and fairs.
