It's outside the main city but very close to U-bahn station and within walking distance to many tourist attractions. They couldn't offer us a parking ticket, and if you have to park at the nearby garage, the price is much higher. Quiet at night. Room was okay, the bed was a little bit too low. The best thing is their... More

We had the most wonderful stay at the Hotel Beethoven. From the moment we arrived we were warmly welcomed. All of the staff was so wonderful and went out of their way to help us in anyway. Our room was great and so quiet. It was pristine. The included breakfast buffet was delicious and the complimentary water was a plus.... More

Reachable to most attractions in centre on foot. Even Schönbrunn Palace only took 2~30 minuits(including walks), by subway. Naschmarkt is so close. The hotel staff recommended restaurant Amacord, which we liked very much and visited twice. Although the menu was almost same during 6 days of our stay, breakfast was quite good, too. The towel warmer(?) and electric kettle was very useful... More

Hotel Beethoven Wien is a lovely, charming boutique hotel in a good location. Be sure to ask for a room on a lower floor. We were first put up in the attic where there are no views, the room was hot and stuffy, and the air conditioner was barely working. We were changed to a room on the 2nd floor... More

This is a smaller hotel just off the beaten path. The room was nice and comfortable. You can walk to all the major sites. A concert was performed the first night there and the breakfast is very good as well. Definitely would stay again on a future visit.

Loved being right by the Naschmarkt. The hotel was a little hard to find since it is on a small street. The rooms were very eclectic and modern. My particular room had a separate shower room and toilet room, which was nice. The room was fairly large for European standards. Breakfast was included and was decent. The location was close... This hotel is a great place to stay in Vienna. The location is great, within easy walking distance of many significant sites as well as restaurants and athe subway. The rooms were clean and comfortable and quiet at night. A special bonus is a free concert on Sunday night. What a delight!

Small but very pleasant hotel just south of the Vienna Ring. Walk to the centre of Vienna is about a mile, but the Karlsplatz underground (with stations for 3 of the 5 lines) is very close. The Naschmarkt, with lots of restaurants etc, is a couple of hundred yards away, but because the hotel stands in a side street the... More

Easy walking distance to subway and most places. Breakfasts were excellent. Hotel was charming, peaceful and the Sunday evening concert was a hi-light of our trip. Good reasonably priced restaurants were nearby - the hotel's recommendations were great!

Booked based on reviews on Trip Advisor and was not disappointed. We arrived on Sunday which was perfect timing as we got to enjoy the free concert on Sunday evening which is not to be missed. Great way to start the stay. Service was prompt and efficient. Breakfast (included) was very good. Always plentiful and fresh. Room was also terrific,... More

Staying in Mariahilf

Neighborhood Profile
Mariahilf
Vienna’s sixth district hosts high street shopping heaven and pedestrian area Mariahilfer Strasse. The weirdest local building is probably the city aquarium Haus des Meeres, housed in one of Vienna’s six remaining World War II defense towers, and topped with a rooftop bar that offers stunning views over Vienna and the center. One of the most historic sites in the area is the passageway of 18th century Raimundhof with its small shops and cafés. It leads from Mariahilfer Strasse to Windmühlgasse. For a glimpse into the world of early 19th century theater, visit Semperdepot, the former depository for theater decoration, which now hosts art exhibitions and fairs.
