We stayed recently for 8 days. Our stay was excellent. The hotel is (rooms and public space) is very well maintained, very good breakfast, great location and above all friendly and helpful staff! Will be our preferred hotel at our next visit to Vienna

We had a great 3 nights in Vienna with Hotel Beethoven. It's away from the main tourist area which makes it really nice and quiet. I have to say though, it's only 5 to 10 minutes to get to main tourist area. Subway is 2 minutes away. One thing I hope they improve is providing clearer directions to hotel from... More

We stayed in Beethoven hotel in July. It was clean, cozy hotel with friendly staff. Room was well equipped. The main positive side of this hotel is breakfast. It was just perfect. Wide choice of dishes, snacks and drinks, very good bread. Actually never seen before this kind of breakfast. Thanks a lot.

Stayed here for 1 week and could hardly fault anything. Location is excellent, staff are friendly, helpful and efficient. Breakfast is very good especially the fresh fruit although the breakfast room can get a bit clogged at peak times. Would definitely stay here again if I returned to Vienna.

Everything about this hotel was excellent. Spotlessly clean. We had a room on the 5th floor, unique style and amazing shower - overhead and/or all around in a big wet room. A huge variety for breakfast and good quality too. Location great. Only minor occasional problem was the WiFi but it was generally ok.

We stayed here two nights during our honeymoon. The room was very clean and much larger than expected. The bathroom offered a tub and separate shower in a different room than the toilet. The bed was quite comfortable. The breakfast was very tasty and had a good variety. Location was fine, fairly close to anything and definitely within walking distance... More

Clean , Friendly and helpful staff , good breakfast spread , nice air conditioning for the summer heat wave , next to Nashmarket , walking distance to places of interest , near to metro station. Try to stay at lower floors as there is only 1 lift ( in case of beakdowns )

We stayed here for three nights, booking it after the good reviews here. And almost everything was top-notch. The room was a little small but clean, quiet and just fine size-wise, especially by European standards. The mini-bar prices were pretty steep, but the Naschmarkt is RIGHT there, and other markets/stores are nearby as well. Speaking of location, this may be... More

We spent 4 days in Vienna at the Hotel Beethoven in mid-June. This hotel has exceptional staff, especially Danielle at the desk. She treated us like family. She patiently answered questions about using public transportation, including selling us tickets, providing detailed instructions on which tram or subway to use to get to our next adventure in a city than can... Staying in Mariahilf

Neighborhood Profile
Mariahilf
Vienna’s sixth district hosts high street shopping heaven and pedestrian area Mariahilfer Strasse. The weirdest local building is probably the city aquarium Haus des Meeres, housed in one of Vienna’s six remaining World War II defense towers, and topped with a rooftop bar that offers stunning views over Vienna and the center. One of the most historic sites in the area is the passageway of 18th century Raimundhof with its small shops and cafés. It leads from Mariahilfer Strasse to Windmühlgasse. For a glimpse into the world of early 19th century theater, visit Semperdepot, the former depository for theater decoration, which now hosts art exhibitions and fairs.
