The hotel is really good located. 15 min away from the center. Tram No.2 will get you to the opera for less then 10 min. From the Schwedenplatz subway station you'll get to Schönbrünn for less then 15 min. The pension is fully wheelchair friendly, the room has average size but its fully equipped. I had a wonderful time in... More

We visited this hotel for four nights, one of them being New Year's Eve, obviously a busy time in Vienna. We booked a 'standard two person' room via booking.com, and were very surprised to find out we were put in a mini-room. It had one normal built-in bed (although very short) and an uncomfortable fold-out bed at the other side... More

Hotel is situated in private building on 2nd and 3rd floor. Reception in 2nd and my room was on 3rd floor. You need to enter in apartment door with luggage to reach reception and than same to get in the hall where is the rooms. Other people having private apartments for living on the same floor.

This hotel is the worst place where you can stay. AVOID IT!!!!! MY BAG WAS STOLEN from the room and the receptionist did not even apologise or give me any feedback on what to do. She didn't even know proper english. Terrible. They just said that the manager was unavaliable and to write down what happened. They also said that... More

4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 24, 2014

We enjoyed our stay here, in large part because we were able to secure a room with a balcony(a teeny tiny balcony - 1 of only 2 in the entire hotel), otherwise I might have found it a bit claustrophobic. The room was beautiful with tons of charm and the staff were very helpful, letting us get coffee from the... More

Odd place. Situated on the second and third floors of the building. Good shower, good comfy bed, not so good having the tram stop beneath your window at night! Clean room with good air con (30+ outside when I was there) Short walk into the centre of Vienna, so lots of choices for places to eat, drink and maybe eat... More

2 of 5 stars Reviewed July 19, 2014

I reserved a room with balcony including breakfast for 4 nights four months in advance at a special rate. After the third night, my key card wouldn't work and I was informed that they need my room for another booking. The fourth night was spent in a dingy airless room looking out into a blank wall. No argument would work,... More

This hotel is in a great location and is FULL of Viennese charm. It doesn't have a ton of rooms and unfortunately we could only book one night. I wish we had planned better. The breakfast was incredible and the staff helpful and nice.

The hotel is a 3 star hotel with generosity. I wonder how Best Western got this hotel rated 4 star. a true injustice. Reception is closed 11 pm till morning. Feels totally insecure late at night and early morning as it is 2 floors in a large building and no one there after evening. room was tiny with a 2... More

2 of 5 stars Reviewed June 2, 2014

The hotel has a very good location so from that point of view it is not bad. What strikes me is that this is supposed to be a 4 star hotel. That is impossible. It is more like a B&B rather than a hotel, and the staff is rather rude. One receptionist, was very friendly and pleasant, but except for... More
