We were fortunate to get a large room that over looked the Danube. Actually everybody in the tour group got a room with a view of the river. It was rainy, windy and cold the entire time we were there, which was two nights. From our room we could see a nice walking area along the Danube. At night the... more

Let me start with the positives.. The room was large and the breakfast was up to the Hilton standard... but that's where it ends. We stayed in this hotel as part of a First Class Trafalgar Tour and this would have to have been the worst hotel of the trip. My husband and I are Hilton Honors members and frequently... more

Stayed on two occasions in 08 and 09/2009. Met everything we had hoped for. Spacious rooms, quiet location right on the Danube, a little out of town but only 15 minutes from train station 5 minutes from hotel. Train fares about 15 Euros for 3 day go anywhere pass (trains/trams and busses). Excellent full breakfast inside or on the terrace... more

We travel in vienna during Xmas. The hotel rooms (we booked two adjacent rooms with inderconnection door) were excellent. We had asked view to the river and this request was respected. The rooms were clean and specious. The price was quite ok. Good memories, nice stay. Only disandvadage is that hotel is out of town and during winter it is... more

Thought it was a little out of the way, but found a metro within a 5 minute walk. Breakfast on the Danube every morning - one of the best parts of our trip! more

We stayed seven nights at this hotel for a convention at the Ernst-Happel-Stadion. We loved being able to sleep with the window open and hearing the river. We were part of a tour group so breakfast was included, the staff was very helpful. It was a 5-10 minute walk to the Stadion and to the U-train station. There is a... more

Hotels in the center of Vienna can be very pricy. Although the hotel is is on the Danube side of the Prater, it is only a 5 minute walk to the UBahn (subway) snd from there only about 10 minutes to the heart of the city. (Note: the UBahn was only recently extended so an older guide book or map... more

We stayed in Vienna Danube for 4 nights during July 2009, as i read many good comments and the Hotel rate was decent and less expensive than other hotels in the same category. The hotel is far from center, but less than 5 min. walk you are at the underground station and can be in city centre in less than... more

There is no doubt that the riverside setting is beautiful. This however brings some problems during summer. Wasps and Bees during the day and mosquitoes in the evening. Especially true if you choose to take breakfast or dinner outside. Options that are not always available. For travelling into Vienna it is not bad with about a 5 minute walk to... more
