What makes this hotel is the ground floor! A bit like a cool library/pub/club/house with lots of choice of places to sit. Comfortable, warm, smells nice (!) and staff speak excellent English and nothing is too much trouble - Order a couple of coffees whilst checking out? No problem! Rest of the hotel is interesting - corridors a bit dark... More

Stayed here for 3 nights and thoroughly enjoyed it.The Bar/restaurant area is funky and cosy and you feel like you are at home. It is quite a way from the centre but this is no problem as the U-bahn is literally a 5 minute walk away and the trains are so frequent. We ate here every night and the food... More

This is a great hotel, really funky & lots of neat little ideas running throughout the hotel. Friendly staff, a great club vibe in the bar & check-in area. Had dinner there both nights, really great food & service. The room was lovely, a little bit small but every convenience catered for- great plug-ins for computer equipment, nice big bathroom... The hotel is really nice, location is good, useing public transport you're in the centre within a minutes. Lobby in the hotel is excellent, and very comfy. Breakfast is awesome, lots of different types of food, and very tasty. Order your breakfast one day earlier because it' cheayper-11€. Rooms were nice, except for the towels which could be changed because... More

Recently enjoyed a great weekend in Vienna and stayed at this hotel. Once inside we were surprised to see a funky and trendy reception, bar, lounge area. The decor was unusual but cool. Check in was swift and efficient. Although our room was a little on the small side it more than adequately met our needs. Clean, decent beds, and good... More

Comfortable, efficient, great breakfast, excellent location for visiting the city using public transport. Quiet and relaxing. To improve the facilities bath, for a junior suite changing towels should be daily and room slippers should be supplied

I would highly recommend this hotel. The vibe of the lobby in atmosphere is terrific. The staff were very thoughtful and brought us chocolate bunnies on Easter night. Breakfast was terrific! We walked everywhere, but it was a long walk.

This hotel was super cool-looking- very trendy. It was a little far from the center (we prefer to walk everywhere), but quick and easy access on the U Bahn. The room was a nice size, with a HUGE bed. We have a king size bed at home and this was bigger. Not a fan of the pillows, though- too flat... More

The hotel itself great--the staff was super helpful regarding the questions we had, it's location was awesome (just a short walk to the Pilgrimgasse metro stop), and the complimentary breakfast was the best of all the cities we visited this trip...the only down side for us in particular was it isn't really geared towards families. The rooms are rather small,... More

My experience of the PentaHotel, Vienna was nice and special. I came here as part of my university study tour for 2 nights, but I'm quite impressed with the service and style of the hotel. The location is very close to public transportation at Linke Wienzeile and Schonbrunner Street, which you can take anywhere within the city, such as the... More

Staying in Margareten

Neighborhood Profile
Margareten
This former working class district blends hip eateries and avant-garde cinema with a time travel into 1950s Vienna. Feel the district’s pulse at Margaretenhof and Schlossquadrat. 19th-century Margaretenhof is a local icon, yet has very non-Viennese architecture with its brick structure and cast-iron verandas. The nearby urban Renaissance castle of Schlossquadrat houses several restaurants. In the summer you can sit in its romantic shady courtyard over Schnitzel and Kracherl (traditional fizzy syrup). Siebenbrunnenplatz and its surrounding shops and grocery stores have remained virtually unchanged in the past 60 years: taking a walk there is like stepping into a 1950s film set. Speaking of movies, head to avant-garde cinema Filmcasino in the evening. It often stages foreign language cult films.
