We visited this hotel for 4 nights at the end of Jan, beginning of Feb. The hotel wasn't overly busy, just how we like it. Check in was swift and all the hotel staff and so friendly and helpful. We had breakfast and most evening meals in the hotel. The menu in the evening isn't vast but the food in... More

We were very happy with this hotel. The staff welcomed us and gave us our rooms well before bed official check in. The rooms we had we spacious and had everything we needed! Big bed, good bathroom and a huge closet. We didn't use the tv, but it was there. No fridge, but there are machines with all kinds of... More

Excellent, friendly and professional team. The 24/7 bar is a must. Clean tooms, silent, with a superb design. Comfortable bed. Some rooms are a bit tiny. Only 200m from the metro station with direct access to city center and Schoenbrunn palace. As I spend 80+ nights per year there, it has become .... my second home!

Staff were at all times happy to help out and only to happy to help out. Breakfast - good options to select from, nice choice of meats, cheeses and smoked salmon with excellent bread choice. My only wish is that coffee making facilities to be added into the rooms

Although located a short distance from the main historic area this is both walkable and easy accessible via the U-bahn. The reception come bar area works well and has a nice atmosphere. Good point for getting to the two main Schloss’ in the City.

I think it was the coolest hotel i've ever been in! The staff was kind and friendly and really helpful! The bar as the reception provides also good and affordable food, and it's not obvious at all. I'd recommend to provide better pillows, but it's not like tou can't manage with what you get. The breakfast was very rich and... More

This hotel was quite good. The room was nice and clean and well serviced. There are three points which rendered our stay a 4/5, these were: 1. Internet was frustratingly slow 2. Whilst we were on the 5th floor, we still had to use stairs (albeit a small number) to move our bags into and out of the room. 3.... More

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights during New Years Eve. The lobby of the hotel was very nice and quite modern, the receptionist at the desk was nice and helpful. The reason I gave an average rating is because for a 4 star hotel I was expecting a bit more, our room was quite big but there was... More

Visit to the Xmas markets, this is an excellent hotel meeting your every needs.Located only two underground stations from the city center with trains every two minutes, you are quickly transported the shopping center and cultural delights. I did the checking out for our 2 nights stay in Pentahotel Vienna. The decoration of the hotel is wonderful but all the staff that work in the hotel are so unpolite. Anybody tries to make you feel comfortable and welcome. The second day I tried to enter the room four times. So I had to go down to the... More

Staying in Margareten

Neighborhood Profile
Margareten
This former working class district blends hip eateries and avant-garde cinema with a time travel into 1950s Vienna. Feel the district’s pulse at Margaretenhof and Schlossquadrat. 19th-century Margaretenhof is a local icon, yet has very non-Viennese architecture with its brick structure and cast-iron verandas. The nearby urban Renaissance castle of Schlossquadrat houses several restaurants. In the summer you can sit in its romantic shady courtyard over Schnitzel and Kracherl (traditional fizzy syrup). Siebenbrunnenplatz and its surrounding shops and grocery stores have remained virtually unchanged in the past 60 years: taking a walk there is like stepping into a 1950s film set. Speaking of movies, head to avant-garde cinema Filmcasino in the evening. It often stages foreign language cult films.
