terrasse half the size of the room, overlooking Vienna roofs. Quite in the room, active in the "lobby / bar" Surprising, non conventional entrance setting the mood, youngsters spirit, but still high service and class I loved it

We have just come back from 3 days stay at the Pentahotel in Vienna. The hotel is very good. The rooms are not huge but plenty big enough for use. The shower cubicle is excellent with loads of room. Breakfast is very good although if you go down between 8-9am it can be very busy, although the hotel gives you... More

Indeed it is a different hotel, with a distinct personality and even the toiletry set is standing out.The wall between the bathroom and the bedroom was of white glass, giving a spacious feeling, the lighting was excellent and there is a very clever cabinet on the wall providing HDMI connection to the TV and electricity outlets. Rooms looking at the back... More

We stayed here only one night during our 2 week, 4 country tour of central Europe. This turned out to be our favorite hotel and sadly we stayed only one night. The design is very funky, fashionable and fun! The beds are very comfy and the rooms are clean. Peter and the rest of the staff here are very nice... More

We stayed here recently for a week and have mixed feelings about this hotel. It was a bit of a shock to the system when we first arrived as we couldn’t find a reception and there was no staff about. Other guests had to explain that the reception is also the bar and restaurant! We were given no information about... More

We have stayed at a Pentahotel before and really like the concept. It feels very special - like staying in a nightclub. For example - there is no reception. You check in at the bar..... The furnishings and decor are very individual and special. The staff were very friendly and helpful. When we stayed the temperature was in the mid-30's... More

I have mixed feelings about this place, which I think is rated a bit higher on TripAdvisor than it deserves. First, the pros: --it's well located in a nice neighborhood a few minutes walk from the Pilgramgasse metro station (which is 2-3 stops from most big sights in Vienna and 1-3 stops from the stations where you'd change trains to... After being delayed leaving Tokyo and then arriving in Vienna to have missed my connecting flight to London, Austrian Airlines put me up in this fantastic funky hotel for the night. The service was excellent as was the cleanliness, the room, the food. Not a bad word can be said! Well located in Vienna too1 It's a little confusing upon... More

Lovely ambiance in the lobby and restaurant but small rooms and tiny windows. Beds however are comfortable and air conditioning / bathroom facilities were fine. Wifi is a bit sporadic and slow. Also a major downside is that there is no minibar or room service on offer.

Dear Gergana, thank you very much for having taken your time giving us feedback here on tripadvisor. I am glad that your overall experience was a good one. Indeed we dont have minibars in the rooms, but we do have Maxibars on each floor with very reasonable priced items (i.e. 1€ for chips, chocolate, bottle of mineral water). We do... More

Staying in Margareten

Neighborhood Profile
Margareten
This former working class district blends hip eateries and avant-garde cinema with a time travel into 1950s Vienna. Feel the district’s pulse at Margaretenhof and Schlossquadrat. 19th-century Margaretenhof is a local icon, yet has very non-Viennese architecture with its brick structure and cast-iron verandas. The nearby urban Renaissance castle of Schlossquadrat houses several restaurants. In the summer you can sit in its romantic shady courtyard over Schnitzel and Kracherl (traditional fizzy syrup). Siebenbrunnenplatz and its surrounding shops and grocery stores have remained virtually unchanged in the past 60 years: taking a walk there is like stepping into a 1950s film set. Speaking of movies, head to avant-garde cinema Filmcasino in the evening. It often stages foreign language cult films.
