The hotel is very nice, few minutes walk from U-Bahn station, maybe 15-20 minutes walk from Mariahilfer street, great breakfast and great bar in the reception ;) The hotel is definitely different from other Vienna's hotels...

The hotel is perfect, easy to reach. Staff is friendly and helpful, the guy on the reception speak with us hungarian, when he saw that we're from Hungary. It was kind. The room was clean and comfortable, breakfast was rich. One of the bests I've ever stayed.

It's a good hotel if you get a nice price (offer or something). There is a bus and a metro station near by. The city centre is 2 metro stations away and the famous Naschmarkt only one station away. The hotel is modern and hip for austrian standards. The lobby has multiple and different kinds of seating and dining areas... More

My husband and I were booked in for the night due to issues with our connecting flight. Austrian Airlines did a great job in arranging our accomodation for the night and the taxi transfers to and from the airport. We arrived at the hotel just a little after 10 pm and, unfortunately, the kitchen had just closed at 10. The... More

I spent a week at Penta because I was in Vienna on business and really enjoyed my stay. The best thing about the hotel is the lobby/reception area (the reception is actually a bar!!) - it has some very cool decor and a good atmosphere. It was a great place to wind down after a long day's work! The staff... More

This hotel is great! I loved the lobby and its décor; it reminded me of some bygone castle era in the heart of Europe. The staff was very friendly and spoke excellent English. I did not feel like a foreigner at all. The rooms were clean and well taken care of. Loved the breakfast choices, something for everyone (even the... More

Enjoyed a week at this hotel. The front desk is the bar - nice if you're thirsy while checking in. The whole hotel looks like an artist's head exploded on every wall - I liked it. It's about a 20-30 minute walk to the main downtown and St. Stephen's Cathedral. I walked it many times, and it was a nice... More

What makes this hotel is the ground floor! A bit like a cool library/pub/club/house with lots of choice of places to sit. Comfortable, warm, smells nice (!) and staff speak excellent English and nothing is too much trouble - Order a couple of coffees whilst checking out? No problem! Rest of the hotel is interesting - corridors a bit dark... More

Stayed here for 3 nights and thoroughly enjoyed it.The Bar/restaurant area is funky and cosy and you feel like you are at home. It is quite a way from the centre but this is no problem as the U-bahn is literally a 5 minute walk away and the trains are so frequent. We ate here every night and the food... More

Staying in Margareten

Neighborhood Profile
Margareten
This former working class district blends hip eateries and avant-garde cinema with a time travel into 1950s Vienna. Feel the district’s pulse at Margaretenhof and Schlossquadrat. 19th-century Margaretenhof is a local icon, yet has very non-Viennese architecture with its brick structure and cast-iron verandas. The nearby urban Renaissance castle of Schlossquadrat houses several restaurants. In the summer you can sit in its romantic shady courtyard over Schnitzel and Kracherl (traditional fizzy syrup). Siebenbrunnenplatz and its surrounding shops and grocery stores have remained virtually unchanged in the past 60 years: taking a walk there is like stepping into a 1950s film set. Speaking of movies, head to avant-garde cinema Filmcasino in the evening. It often stages foreign language cult films.
